Patch 2.13

+
Frame Gen does not work. I updated to latest Nvidia graphics (RTX 3070). Whether FG is on or not, the same amount of GPU is used. I also limited my fps in settings to 25, expecting the fps to double. Nothing happened at all.

I noticed one thing. They fixed the Caliburn bug where it'd turn dark grey, the moment you jumped inside it. I don't know if it was a general bug every single person experienced after 2.12. but for me, regardless of creating new saves, fresh starts etc, the car would always turn dark grey the moment I stepped in it. I can change the colors on the color wheel settings properly too.

has anyone yet seen what they mean by "Other stability and visual fixes." ?

Ah, so it will shine again.
Haven't even noticed it was fixed, really, since I mostly drive from the inside.

I liked it more when I was able to just buy it from Dino, rather than having to do El Capitan's grind. Shudders.

I installed even the newer beta version of AMD drivers just for testing sake: 32.0.11037.10006. Same message about outdated driver in the Launcher.

TURN FILM GRAIN ON TO FIX FSR 3 FRAME GENERATION DISTORTION!!!! set fps to 20, turn on frame gen, check game and move around, there is a very bad circle in center of screen, Then turn on film grain. Others thought it was vignette, so did it, but it's film grain turned off. Turn in on, notice circle is GONE, then set frame rate to your standard and play. It should be PERFECT. Gonna go play, hope this helps. Devs please reply if you see this! Please investigate!

Indeed, choom. I came into the Cyberpunk 2077 scene much later, about a couple months after patch 2.12 was released, so i never experienced the game at launch state. But yes, it's nice to be able to drive the car in it's actual colors and even when changing the color wheel, they all look more vibrant over the white base tone. :D

It really pains me to be a downer about this. I hope CDPR pulls off another (good) surprise as they have in the past, but the reality is that was nearly a year ago the last time it happened - The 2.1 update which brought the Metro. That came with it's share of bugs while still not addressing numerous, glaring, visual and gameplay issues but it was yet another feature that greatly improved the game. And the 2. update which brought many of the bugs I've wanted fixed was a year ago. Which is why I'm all the more certain they won't be addressed, much as I had warned myself and others given the same thing happened with TW3 NGE.

All I hope for is fixes. No improvements, no additions, no revisions - fixes. I wanted to be happy for the AMD gamers, but that is seemingly a waste because CDPR chose to poorly implement and outdated version of the plugin. Really? Why even bother, guys? I'll always respect CDPR for going above and beyond what even their most ardent stans expected of them, incredible. That gives me reason to look forward to their future games. I fully understand it has to come to an end, but that doesn't make it any less disappointing.

I suppose what makes this truly frustrating is that myself and other mod authors have documented these issues, provided detailed solutions for them, and have suggested solutions to the ones we lack the tools to address. Some of the issues aren't even bugs, but dev error/negligence. Just a matter of adjusting values or removing the object(s) causing the artifacts, etc. These aren't hacky solutions - if anything they would improve performance and stability. A handful of people could do them in a week. CDPR simply refuse to do so.

All that said I wish them the best of luck and have reasonably high expectations for what they put out in the future. They made one of the best games ever imo, and that's no easy feat! Hopefully the decisions that put them in a position where they aren't capable or willing to address bugs won't be repeated.

For all the AMD users who want to use Framegen without crosshair ghosting, I recommend AFMF 2.

For me, the most annoying is the crosshair ghosting, which occurs with any FG mod, including the official FSR 3 implementation.
Hence, I'm using AFMF 2 FG as there is no crosshair ghosting, and it only adds about 8-10ms of latency, which makes it still very smooth.

I hope this helps some frustrated AMD users get a worthy and smooth Cyberpunk experience.

From what I can tell the FG is only available to the 4-series and up. Ray reconstruction was available to series 2 and up.

Patch 2.13 for Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty is being rolled out! It includes support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 with Frame Generation. Please note that this update is PC-only!

Keep in mind that despite the version mismatch between PC and console, Cross Progression will still function properly.

For details, check out the list of changes below.
  • Added support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 with Frame Generation. More information can be found in this article on the Support website.
  • Added support for Intel Xe Super Sampling 1.3.
  • It will now be possible to enable both DLAA and DLSS Ray Reconstruction at the same time.
  • Added a new "Utilities" tab in Settings and moved HDD Mode, Hybrid CPU Utilization and AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) options there.
  • Other stability and visual fixes.
I was very excited about AMD FSR 3 finally coming to Cyberpunk 2077 but after noticing how horrible the implementation was and seeing Ancient Gameplays' confirmation on how bad it really is, I'm highly disappointed this got released in the state it is in. This looks like you took AMD FSR 1 and changed the name to AMD FSR 3. PLEASE fix this because at this point the modders are making whoever worked on this official implementation look very bad. I don't mean to offend but this implementation is offensive.

AMD FSR 3 Frame Generation FINALLY arrives to Cyberpunk 2077!! But it sucks...

I bought Cyberpunk on day one on 12/12 my birthday...
After the disappointment that the CDs were symphonies, deluding myself that it was a physical copy like GTA V, I already had to understand that [...]!
I had a lot of fun and in the end to continue playing I should buy the DLC (buy the game again) and buy an RTX40 and a new processor because it is evident that the 2.0 update has voluntarily sent my i5 9600k and my RTX 3070OC Asus into planned obsolescence.
It is really sad that CDprojekt took part in corruption and "power games" within the sector.
The saddest thing is that they ignore that there is a crash problem voluntarily created at the time I also made a comparison demonstrating that with DSR & DLSS you could get BETTER results than path tracing.
Clearly Cyberpunk is just a promotional billboard to milk customers. The score that the phantom slavery and cyberpunk update deserves would be 77 on metacritic because Observer is clearly superior.

I am a woman living in Texas.
I have to preface with that because I noticed certain ... changes to my female V character and the frequency of certain ads after this particular update. I have a feeling the "other stability and visual fixes" included political issues as well as technical issues.
No judgement on CDPR's decision to keep their product available in such a large market, if I'm right. The fact that Texas would "sensor" a cyberpunk genre game but KEEP the guns and violence is a little on the nose, but, hey, when has my home state EVER been subtle?

The most terrifying part to me is that those complaints about FSR3 mean there is probably a next update coming.

Just to know, what kind of changes you "think" you noticed?
I say "think", because, I highly doubt this update introduced any kind of censorship... If it was the case, this update would have been released on all platforms and not just on PC ;)

Not necessarily.

Many countries have laws on things they don't allow depictions of. Germany, for example, does not allow video game depictions of Hitler. Hence, Hitler was made into someone else in the latest Wolfenstein game. A patch to comply with new laws and regulation to ensure a game is still adhering to the laws in place isn't far fetched.

Texas' legislature has always had a huuuuuhhh... special? approach to nudity and sex and recently passed a bill regarding porn. I am not familiar with the language of the bill but it is possible it would affect some aspects of video games. Which studios would have to comply with or risk being delisted. These changes wouldn't have to be applied to every version of the game.

With that said, I am also very curious as to what changes @GeminiSweet59 may have noticed.

Yeah, but if "something" is no longer allowed in a game on PC (no matter what it is or why), it should no longer be allowed on consoles either (PS/Xbox).

Edit : And from what I understand from the support page about cross-progression (but I could be wrong^^), even in countries with regional restrictions, it only affect console versions, not PCs.
Can I load a save transferred from PC on a console?
In case of game versions with regional restrictions, no. PC versions of the game aren't affected by regional restrictions and save files created on a less restrictive game version can't be loaded on the more restrictive one.
