Patch 2.31

+

Seviaru

CD PROJEKT RED

Patch 2.31 for Cyberpunk 2077 is being rolled out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac and Nintendo Switch 2!

This update includes an AutoDrive upgrade and Photo Mode adjustments. It also addresses common issues encountered by players. For details, check the full list of changes below:

Vehicles
  • Updated AutoDrive. When driving to a selected point, the vehicle now drives smoothly, overtakes blocking vehicles, and no longer stops at traffic lights. Free Roam mode has also been upgraded to follow traffic rules and navigate the city more reliably.
  • Fixed an issue where Johnny always spawned in the passenger seat when using the Delamain Cab service.
  • Fixed an issue where applying CrystalCoat to the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru caused its wheels to flash in different colors.
Photo Mode
  • Most of the new poses introduced in Update 2.3 now work with any gender.
  • Disabled NPC collision, which will make it easier to position NPCs on top of other objects with collision (e.g. on car hoods).
  • Fixed an issue where some of the poses didn't work for Royce.
Quests & Open World
  • Freedom - Fixed the journal entry that appears when the player chooses not to steal the Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred."
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where, after V fails to pursue and stop Semimaru and receives a text from River saying he'll contact V soon, the follow-up message never arrives.
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where the Yaiba Semimaru could flip over during the chase, preventing the player from entering it.
  • Motorbreath - It's no longer possible to trigger the quest if River died during The Hunt.
  • Motorbreath - Players can now acquire the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru through AUTOFIXER even if they failed The Hunt, which normally unlocks the side quest where the vehicle is obtained.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed a game crash that could occur in certain circumstances after leaving the Yaiba showroom event.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed an issue where the proxy interface UI in the Yaiba showroom is cut off when the "Larger HUD Elements" setting is enabled.
Miscellaneous
  • Fixed several localization and lipsync issues in various languages.
  • Added a toggle to disable vignette. It can be found in Settings → Graphics → Basic.
  • Fixed an issue on PC and Mac where Ray-Traced Reflections might not display correctly when enabled under certain conditions.
  • Fixed several issues with displaying text messages from Delamain.
  • Various fixes for fluff vendors.
PC-specific
  • Fixed an issue where NVIDIA Reflex could be disabled while DLSS Frame Generation was enabled, causing the screen to turn pink.
  • Fixed an issue where Path Tracing didn't activate properly in certain scenarios.
Mac-specific
  • Fixed an issue where changing graphics presets on Mac set Screen Space Reflections to a higher setting compared to the equivalent presets on PC.
  • Fixed an issue causing a permanent white screen when Frame Generation is enabled while entering the braindance in The Information.
  • Selecting "Defaults" in Video Settings no longer turns HDR Mode off.
  • Fixed the inverted behavior of the "Mute Game in Background" toggle in Settings.
  • Removed the outdated "(Requires Game Restart)" disclaimer from the mouseover description of the "Disable Spatial Audio" setting.
  • Fixed an issue on the App Store version that caused the game to become stuck on the “Press Space to continue” breaching screen.
  • Various stability and performance optimizations.

Great - now will put the game on the back burner till the mods catch up.

One thing I find really weird about Photomode - especially as you claim awards for it - is that without a certain mod - it sucks. If I was in a managing position I would incorporate that mod into the actual game.

I mean according to the patch notes they haven´t even taken a look to Ray Recon not working in Photo Mode currently so...

- Didn't even bother updating the XeSS DLLs to unlock XeFG for non Intel cards... It's (per Intel's own words in the XeSS 2.1 SDK release) a simple replacement to provide those options as anyone can verify by manually doing it themselves. But it's much more convenient not to even bother doing it so you don't have to bother supporting it... OptiScaler it will be then...

- Still no Gyro aiming support for controllers, like come on already ! If the code is there for Switch 2, how hard can it be to port it to other platforms and simply adapt it to the various controllers' Gyro inputs ?! Such a letdown...

- Is the disabling vignette option the only thing devs could come up with for addressing the FSR 3.1 FG issues present ever since the FSR 3.0 FG implementation ?

- Good AutoDrive got improved but that's a gimmicky feature in comparison to those previous 3 points... #Priorities

- Other fixes are welcome as always but we're still nowhere near getting fixes for the long standing Ray/Path Tracing issues (tree shadows, NPCs black textures etc etc etc)... This is getting more than irritating

Third person toggle only works for cars and bikes, this needs to be fixed more than anything else that's been fixed. It's the one thing that ruined an otherwise wonderful game with an incredible world and awesome story. I guess you people thought nobody needs to see their feet or what's around them. [...]

Gyro support should've been available for every platform with the release of the Switch 2 version. People shouldn't have to pay another $400 plus just to have it.

can someone with an intel CPU and Nvidia GPU tell me if they fixed the performance problems introduced in 2.3 ? I've heard so many complaints and seen ytb videos about it, so it was certainly the update's fault for the performance loss. And no, i'm not talking just about raw average fps number, but the smoothness of the game (1% lows and so on) which seemed to have worsened with 2.3. This is the reason i'm still on 2.2 but i'd love to play the new quests and enjoy the new features and autodrive, but not if i have to play a stuttery mess.

Please buff the militech canto mk 6, it dosent feel that great for endgame item and also consider adding a new berserk OS that is above the militech berserk like you guys did with sandevistan apogee and militech canto mk 6

I got +25% to +35% FPS at Ultra Settings, and Metal 4 is not even there yet.

Guys, I don't know what kind of black magic fuckery you've been doing, but this is awesome. Thank you SO MUCH!
