Patch 2.31

+

Patch 2.31 for Cyberpunk 2077 is being rolled out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac and Nintendo Switch 2!

This update includes an AutoDrive upgrade and Photo Mode adjustments. It also addresses common issues encountered by players. For details, check the full list of changes below:

Vehicles
  • Updated AutoDrive. When driving to a selected point, the vehicle now drives smoothly, overtakes blocking vehicles, and no longer stops at traffic lights. Free Roam mode has also been upgraded to follow traffic rules and navigate the city more reliably.
  • Fixed an issue where Johnny always spawned in the passenger seat when using the Delamain Cab service.
  • Fixed an issue where applying CrystalCoat to the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru caused its wheels to flash in different colors.
Photo Mode
  • Most of the new poses introduced in Update 2.3 now work with any gender.
  • Disabled NPC collision, which will make it easier to position NPCs on top of other objects with collision (e.g. on car hoods).
  • Fixed an issue where some of the poses didn't work for Royce.
Quests & Open World
  • Freedom - Fixed the journal entry that appears when the player chooses not to steal the Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred."
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where, after V fails to pursue and stop Semimaru and receives a text from River saying he'll contact V soon, the follow-up message never arrives.
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where the Yaiba Semimaru could flip over during the chase, preventing the player from entering it.
  • Motorbreath - It's no longer possible to trigger the quest if River died during The Hunt.
  • Motorbreath - Players can now acquire the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru through AUTOFIXER even if they failed The Hunt, which normally unlocks the side quest where the vehicle is obtained.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed a game crash that could occur in certain circumstances after leaving the Yaiba showroom event.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed an issue where the proxy interface UI in the Yaiba showroom is cut off when the "Larger HUD Elements" setting is enabled.
Miscellaneous
  • Fixed several localization and lipsync issues in various languages.
  • Added a toggle to disable vignette. It can be found in Settings → Graphics → Basic.
  • Fixed an issue on PC and Mac where Ray-Traced Reflections might not display correctly when enabled under certain conditions.
  • Fixed several issues with displaying text messages from Delamain.
  • Various fixes for fluff vendors.
PC-specific
  • Fixed an issue where NVIDIA Reflex could be disabled while DLSS Frame Generation was enabled, causing the screen to turn pink.
  • Fixed an issue where Path Tracing didn't activate properly in certain scenarios.
Mac-specific
  • Fixed an issue where changing graphics presets on Mac set Screen Space Reflections to a higher setting compared to the equivalent presets on PC.
  • Fixed an issue causing a permanent white screen when Frame Generation is enabled while entering the braindance in The Information.
  • Selecting "Defaults" in Video Settings no longer turns HDR Mode off.
  • Fixed the inverted behavior of the "Mute Game in Background" toggle in Settings.
  • Removed the outdated "(Requires Game Restart)" disclaimer from the mouseover description of the "Disable Spatial Audio" setting.
  • Fixed an issue on the App Store version that caused the game to become stuck on the “Press Space to continue” breaching screen.
  • Various stability and performance optimizations.

Such long support is, of course, appreciated, but it's time to stop releasing all these updates, for example, for people like me, it's already starting to get annoying, because not all updates for modifications have time to come out, and they are updated again and break everything.:(

We Need online
Sadly, it won't happen on Cyberpunk 2077 ;)
It was planned, but they scrapped everything they worked on when they decided to switch on Unreal Engine a while ago. I assume Red Engine wasn't really designed nor adapted for multiplayer, at all...

You know you guys say you want to give us what we want then stop your Jawboning and Give us NEW GAME PLUS that's what we want NG+

The chances of that ever happening is slim to none, bro. The original team has long since moved on to Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 (Orion) and any others left have moved on to other endeavors. CDPR is working closely with Virtuos to release smaller content patches and bug fixes for us, despite already ending development for the main game. This is the best we can get and unless we see a miracle happen, I wouldn't hold on so tight to the possibility of NG+ or expansions, etc. (it would be amazing..but reality is staring right at us)

NG+ would take a great deal of work and resources for proper implementation and balancing (and ensuring it doesn't come with some jank like some of the mods on nexus, respectfully). Think of the scope of Cyberpunk 2077 and the vast amount of network events that has be re-adjusted for an excellent quality NG+.
It's a lot.

Hello! With this recent patch I'm having a issue with vehicle. I can enter vehicles normally, But then I am unable to exit or drive. So far I have tried verifying my files, fast traveling, reloading to a previous save, getting the car blown up while I'm in it, trying to drive vehicles I didn't summon, and I am currently reinstalling to see if that fixes it. I don't use any mods and I play on PC. If anyone knows any other solutions I would love any suggestions.

Other details: I do have the phantom Liberty DLC, occasionally it puts me into a mode where once I enter I'm able to melee with my weapon and I am stuck in first person, other times I am just stuck in the seat unable to do anything and it says action blocked when I try to draw my weapon, I do not have any vehicle perks enabled, every time I launch the game it tells me that my phantom Liberty isn't up to date and I need to update it. (Even though I have) Thank you so much for reading!

Ok am I the only one whos saves became unplayable after this update (terrible FPS drop to under 10)?
Before this update my fps was between 120 and 170. After the update it dropped to 9 to 45 fps. also my game graphic settings changed with this update automaticly. I tried to fix it but i seen max 45 fps.

What about the HUD auto-hiding when going into cinematic mode while driving?

I was really hoping that the next patch would fix the throwing knife issue where it won't automatically go to the next throwing knife. I miss my throwing knife build. It was a lot of fun.

Speak for yourself; you don’t represent me! Loads of people don’t see the point in NG+ and aren’t interested. Plenty of us are happy to just start a new playthrough.

Making money, regaining gear, and levelling up is so quick and easy you don’t even need to do NCPD scanner jobs to max your character before you even start PL. Doesn‘t make narrative sense either.

EDIT: I’m not sure what the split is in terms of people for and against NG+, but either way it would be a tonnne of work and probably not worth the potential bugs it could introduce.

How hard would it be to take into account even the biggest mods in these updates, a "small hotfix" that broke all mods that are scirpt based, even the CET mod has only a "pitifull" nine million downloads, you would think that developers in 2025 would already realize to take into account mods that have been downloaded literally millions of times in their "small hot fixes", specially developers that has integrated many mods before to their updates, thank god Gog galaxy's revert feature works. I'm staying pretty happy with patch 2.3, I really can't be bothered with an update that fixes a few bugs that a fraction of players have when I literally just got my list of 108 mods to work perfectly the day before

Yesterday I was playing completely normally without any issues, the FPS was between 80 and 90.

Now it's just been updated and the FPS doesn't go above 8.

I've checked the divers and graphics, but nothing :'(.

Is it just me? Is this happening to anyone else?

Third person toggle only works for cars and bikes, this needs to be fixed more than anything else that's been fixed. It's the one thing that ruined an otherwise wonderful game with an incredible world and awesome story. I guess you people thought nobody needs to see their feet or what's around them. [...]
Isn't third person only a thing for cars and bikes?
