Patch 2.31

+
The Autodrive feature in its current state is an absolute train wreck. I love the idea. But seriously, crashing into walls, traffic lights, almost ran into an NCPD cops and car. And would have, if it didnt run into a wall. Hell, the car literally drove into a wall practically on purpose for no reason. Like having a drunk AI piloting the car. It was so bad it was funny. It was like lets hit everything we can except another car. Then the game crashed, again. So glitch on top of a glitch.

When is CDPR going to do what they promised and give real actual quality control. This games has been nothing but release stuff, then fix the problems.

Is it wrong to think they should have learned a lesson from the debacle of the original game launch. I mean if they had this wouldnt keep happening.

Well THANK YOU for finally being able to kick the annoying vignette effect out of the image.
Been craving this since launch week...

I got +25% to +35% FPS at Ultra Settings, and Metal 4 is not even there yet.

Guys, I don't know what kind of black magic fuckery you've been doing, but this is awesome. Thank you SO MUCH!
I'd love to see them do some Dennis Black Magic fuckery in an upcoming patch ...:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Why is the update 81.77GB for me on GOG? That is absurd... If this is going to be an ongoing issue on GOG can I have a steam key, please?

Since the update, the mission “You Know My Name” has been littered with graphical errors:
- Broken self-shadows on Song Mi and other NPCs
- Several texture errors with NPCs in the background and with your own game character
- Reed appears in a T-pose(?!)
And yes: I've already tried everything mentioned in the FAQs (reinstallation, latest graphics card driver after using DDU, shader cache cleared, with and without mods, config reset, etc.).
The error seems to be stored in the save game itself, which is extremely annoying after about 170 hours of playtime.
And yes: a bug ticket has already been created, but I assume that, as with the other tickets before, it will not be fixed...

Funny how these are all the same issues that the original game release had. Make me feel like all they really did to fix the game was to use duct tape and chewing gun.

I have been saying this for 5 years here. If CDPR actually wanted to keep their promise, and deliver a quality product, this wouldn't keep happening with each update.

Where is the accountability we were promised?

Are you ever going to truly fix the cyberwear capacity?

I said it before in other posts. So I will say it again.

In a game about cybernetics, the one thing CDPR should have never done was change the capacity or make it impossible to reach max capacity.

The idea of random drops of capacity increases through item drops is the single worst idea and change done to this game. I am all for capacity growing as you level up. I am all about getting a boost for maxing your tech state. Cool ideas. But doesnt hold true to the original lore or game at all. That was based on humanity and body. Hard to incorporate into a video game sure, but still. When cyberwear got its update patch. CDPR didnt improve this they wrecked it. They took something that was functioning fine and said, nope.. we are going to make this core feature of the character the hardest thing to improve. Seriously, bad move and I will never forgive CDPR for this complete blunder. You are capable of doing better. Please for the love of all that is holy, fix this hot mess.

I've been saying this as well. Future updates should focus exclusively on bug fixes and stability.

Welcome to CDPR Cyberpunk 2077.
New patch, new bugs. It's been this way for five years.

Was the bug where V gets teleported to a random ladder ever fixed? I've had this happen on this patch, and I recall it's an old bug.

Funny the ONLY bug I ever had on the first release of the game was getting thrown away from a ladder. And it was the same ladder every time. The one that gets you to the roof to power the ambush at the abandoned town to get Panam's car. For later play thrus I just jumped up to the roof...

Patch 2.31 for Cyberpunk 2077 is being rolled out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac and Nintendo Switch 2!

This update includes an AutoDrive upgrade and Photo Mode adjustments. It also addresses common issues encountered by players. For details, check the full list of changes below:

Vehicles
  • Updated AutoDrive. When driving to a selected point, the vehicle now drives smoothly, overtakes blocking vehicles, and no longer stops at traffic lights. Free Roam mode has also been upgraded to follow traffic rules and navigate the city more reliably.
  • Fixed an issue where Johnny always spawned in the passenger seat when using the Delamain Cab service.
  • Fixed an issue where applying CrystalCoat to the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru caused its wheels to flash in different colors.
Photo Mode
  • Most of the new poses introduced in Update 2.3 now work with any gender.
  • Disabled NPC collision, which will make it easier to position NPCs on top of other objects with collision (e.g. on car hoods).
  • Fixed an issue where some of the poses didn't work for Royce.
Quests & Open World
  • Freedom - Fixed the journal entry that appears when the player chooses not to steal the Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred."
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where, after V fails to pursue and stop Semimaru and receives a text from River saying he'll contact V soon, the follow-up message never arrives.
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where the Yaiba Semimaru could flip over during the chase, preventing the player from entering it.
  • Motorbreath - It's no longer possible to trigger the quest if River died during The Hunt.
  • Motorbreath - Players can now acquire the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru through AUTOFIXER even if they failed The Hunt, which normally unlocks the side quest where the vehicle is obtained.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed a game crash that could occur in certain circumstances after leaving the Yaiba showroom event.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed an issue where the proxy interface UI in the Yaiba showroom is cut off when the "Larger HUD Elements" setting is enabled.
Miscellaneous
  • Fixed several localization and lipsync issues in various languages.
  • Added a toggle to disable vignette. It can be found in Settings → Graphics → Basic.
  • Fixed an issue on PC and Mac where Ray-Traced Reflections might not display correctly when enabled under certain conditions.
  • Fixed several issues with displaying text messages from Delamain.
  • Various fixes for fluff vendors.
PC-specific
  • Fixed an issue where NVIDIA Reflex could be disabled while DLSS Frame Generation was enabled, causing the screen to turn pink.
  • Fixed an issue where Path Tracing didn't activate properly in certain scenarios.
Mac-specific
  • Fixed an issue where changing graphics presets on Mac set Screen Space Reflections to a higher setting compared to the equivalent presets on PC.
  • Fixed an issue causing a permanent white screen when Frame Generation is enabled while entering the braindance in The Information.
  • Selecting "Defaults" in Video Settings no longer turns HDR Mode off.
  • Fixed the inverted behavior of the "Mute Game in Background" toggle in Settings.
  • Removed the outdated "(Requires Game Restart)" disclaimer from the mouseover description of the "Disable Spatial Audio" setting.
  • Fixed an issue on the App Store version that caused the game to become stuck on the “Press Space to continue” breaching screen.
  • Various stability and performance optimizations.
Haha just noticed Brennan in the photo. Found two of these vending machines near corpo plaza tonight. Don’t see those every day. 😎

Hey, made an account to ask if japanese voice over option can be added to ps5 version? It's on pc so id assume there shouldn't be an issue with doing so? I hope a dev sees this, Would love to play with japanese dubs!

Oh, and the ragdoll broken legs 😬

The documentary done by GameSpot talking about redemption when they released phantom liberty is the most infuriating thing. No they didn't earn redemption. If they had 90% of the comments on this threat wouldn't have been needed. And yet here we are 5 years after launch and they still cant make a patch that fixes more then it breaks.

Yeah same for me. I used the offline updater to go from 2.3 to 2.31 (800MB) and from 2.31 to 2.31a (tiny). Then Galaxy offered me a 22GB size to update what I thought had been updated already. Apparently the offline updaters only update the base game, which is a well-known but new-to-me fact that I can only describe as baffling and infuriating. Still, 22GB is better than 81GB.

Oh my god, when will the game stop crashing when you use the quickhacks queue? This has been going on for a YEAR. I've already submitted 500 bug reports.
