Patch 2.31

+
Since the update, the mission “You Know My Name” has been littered with graphical errors:
- Broken self-shadows on Song Mi and other NPCs
- Several texture errors with NPCs in the background and with your own game character
- Reed appears in a T-pose(?!)
And yes: I've already tried everything mentioned in the FAQs (reinstallation, latest graphics card driver after using DDU, shader cache cleared, with and without mods, config reset, etc.).
The error seems to be stored in the save game itself, which is extremely annoying after about 170 hours of playtime.
And yes: a bug ticket has already been created, but I assume that, as with the other tickets before, it will not be fixed...View attachment 11426858View attachment 11426861
Very late to this but it sounds like you were trying to use a save that had previously been using mods. So yes the error is probably in the save file and probably on account of mods you'd used previously in that playthrough.

Dear CD PROJEKT RED
i started to play the game recently and fell in love with, even with all the bugs and errors (on PS4). From the bottom of my heart I want to thank every single one who was involved in Cyberpunk 2077, and I really appreciate every effort you guys put in, to create this masterpiece.
I am looking forward to support you guys in anyway possible. Until then :)

Just a note here, as there are a lot of reports of bugs that aren't showing up very much on other channels -- especially those related to either Xbox or PS:

Modding the game can cause issues, and these issues can be made worse by removing mods. This also affects console users who may be migrating saves back and forth from PC while using mods on their PC.
  • Whenever the game is saved with mods running, it will create reference data in the save file that cannot be removed. Even if the mod is removed, the reference data will still be there, only now it points to nothing. That can introduce issues where there were none before.
To report a bug with the game, please be sure that you are running a 100% vanilla save file -- meaning: a brand new game was begun in a blank save slot, V level 1, and has never used mods at any point in the past. Once again, removing mods or migrating the game between PC and console will not remove the reference data and may actually introduce problems.
  • CDPR cannot offer support for issues introduced by mods. The only thing the team will be able to tell is that there is data in the save file that did not come from the vanilla game. Unfortunately, due to the incredible number of issues that can result from different modifications on different versions of the game over time, it's virtually impossible for the studio to rectify such issues if they appear.

_______________

If you are playing the latest version of the game and are not using mods, nor have you ever used mods in the past, the best way to bring it up on the forums is to add your input to an existing discussion on that topic or begin a new thread for the specific issue you're seeing. You can do so here:

PC

Xbox

Playstation

Switch

Mac

For issues with modded playthroughs, it's best to seek help on the Mod Discussions boards, as the community may have information to help based on your mod library or the specific issues you're seeing.

_______________

Importantly, I want to be clear that this is not a suggestion that all problems being discussed here are a result of modding the game. There will certainly be issues that are native to vanilla CP2077, and the studio will work to correct those issues. This is simply a message to ensure we're clearly separating issues between a purely vanilla playthrough and issues in which players are using mods or have modded their game in the past and then removed them. Two totally different situations, and only 100% vanilla can be officially supported.

Patch 2.31 for Cyberpunk 2077 is being rolled out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac and Nintendo Switch 2!

This update includes an AutoDrive upgrade and Photo Mode adjustments. It also addresses common issues encountered by players. For details, check the full list of changes below:

Vehicles
  • Updated AutoDrive. When driving to a selected point, the vehicle now drives smoothly, overtakes blocking vehicles, and no longer stops at traffic lights. Free Roam mode has also been upgraded to follow traffic rules and navigate the city more reliably.
  • Fixed an issue where Johnny always spawned in the passenger seat when using the Delamain Cab service.
  • Fixed an issue where applying CrystalCoat to the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru caused its wheels to flash in different colors.
Photo Mode
  • Most of the new poses introduced in Update 2.3 now work with any gender.
  • Disabled NPC collision, which will make it easier to position NPCs on top of other objects with collision (e.g. on car hoods).
  • Fixed an issue where some of the poses didn't work for Royce.
Quests & Open World
  • Freedom - Fixed the journal entry that appears when the player chooses not to steal the Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred."
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where, after V fails to pursue and stop Semimaru and receives a text from River saying he'll contact V soon, the follow-up message never arrives.
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where the Yaiba Semimaru could flip over during the chase, preventing the player from entering it.
  • Motorbreath - It's no longer possible to trigger the quest if River died during The Hunt.
  • Motorbreath - Players can now acquire the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru through AUTOFIXER even if they failed The Hunt, which normally unlocks the side quest where the vehicle is obtained.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed a game crash that could occur in certain circumstances after leaving the Yaiba showroom event.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed an issue where the proxy interface UI in the Yaiba showroom is cut off when the "Larger HUD Elements" setting is enabled.
Miscellaneous
  • Fixed several localization and lipsync issues in various languages.
  • Added a toggle to disable vignette. It can be found in Settings → Graphics → Basic.
  • Fixed an issue on PC and Mac where Ray-Traced Reflections might not display correctly when enabled under certain conditions.
  • Fixed several issues with displaying text messages from Delamain.
  • Various fixes for fluff vendors.
PC-specific
  • Fixed an issue where NVIDIA Reflex could be disabled while DLSS Frame Generation was enabled, causing the screen to turn pink.
  • Fixed an issue where Path Tracing didn't activate properly in certain scenarios.
Mac-specific
  • Fixed an issue where changing graphics presets on Mac set Screen Space Reflections to a higher setting compared to the equivalent presets on PC.
  • Fixed an issue causing a permanent white screen when Frame Generation is enabled while entering the braindance in The Information.
  • Selecting "Defaults" in Video Settings no longer turns HDR Mode off.
  • Fixed the inverted behavior of the "Mute Game in Background" toggle in Settings.
  • Removed the outdated "(Requires Game Restart)" disclaimer from the mouseover description of the "Disable Spatial Audio" setting.
  • Fixed an issue on the App Store version that caused the game to become stuck on the “Press Space to continue” breaching screen.
  • Various stability and performance optimizations.
This is a pretty good update, I'm satisfied. (y)(y)

Mods given to players is like giving the magic wand to the wizard's apprentice...
Edit: It can result in wonderus things, or not.

Can y'all please add an FOV slider for console? It desperately needs it. Don't get me wrong, the game is fun, but whenever I enter a hallway or a small room, it is almost impossible to see. please and thank you

Potentially challenging, as a wider FOV can increase the amount of geometry that needs to be processed and drawn on-screen by the console. There may be hardware limitations to what can be done.

Thank you, I have found a bug that lets me increase my FOV, but not by much. Also, if you do happen to add an FOV slider, I will buy Phantom Liberty DLC

I'm a ps5 cyberpunk player. Sense update 2.31 . There's a glitch when I call my car. The car doesn't come to me . When I walk up to it the front tires are turned towards the left. When I get in a load screen pops up. Then when the load screen ends. I'm still in the car but I'm in a different location. Please fix this. I love this game and it makes it hard to play . Please don't leave it like this . If it stays like this . I won't put money in to future games
