Patch 3.1 available now!

We have just released a small patch for the PC version of the Enhanced Edition of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The game will automatically update to version 3.1 via the game launcher. In case of any problems with the automatic patching system, please download the patch manually from here.

We replaced the older version of the dotnet hotfix with one compatible with 3.1.

If you used the hotfix before the release of 3.1 then the patcher will recognize it and patch The Witcher 2 with a modified version of 3.1 patch not requiring .NET Framework 4.

If you have a version of the game updated to 3.1 and you get one of the .NET-related errors, you can read about them and get the latest hotfix from the page linked above.

I have 2 copies of TW2, one from steam an the other from GOG, and I don't know why I never could active updates from GOG. I always had to do from Steam. I had given up of searching the reason.

When there's updates available on GOG you should always start the game launcher by right clicking on the shortcut and selecting "Run as Administrator". It makes a whole world of difference

Yeah the automatic updater didn't work but at least stand alone installer did the magic!!! everything works just fine
