(( Let us pause a moment and give Hernando and Shed a chance to react before we continue. Besides, it's "fun" to leave players hanging in a life-or-death moment :sneaky: ))

Hernando is running as fast as he can until he sees his companion already in the melee. He will run in direction of one of the enemies to distract him from Talon BUT he won't engage him, just run in circles and avoid any confrontation. (hoping that Talon solves the situation).

(( Having paused a week. I need 3 rolls from Talon, one for the leap [acrobatics or athletics] and two for the kicks [brawl or martial arts]. Which of the three is Hernando fake charging? Shed is bringing up the rear and will act after the others. ))

Talon's leap catches both gunmen off guard and one fires ... the shot sails by harmlessly.
His foot connects with gunman #1 and knocks him sprawling, down but not out. Talon doesn't know if he still has his weapon in hand. The other foot make a picture perfect connection with gunman #2s nose ... *crunch* ... he's down and out. Talon's Sensai would be proud! Talon lands in a crouch behind gunman #2 ... unfortunately facing the wrong direction.
What now?

Meanwhile the swordsman starts toward Talon but turns toward Hernando, sword out, whatever will Hernando do???

Talon assumes gunman #1 still has his gun in play but facing in the wrong direction isn't certain if he's still recovering or lining up a shot. Preparing for the worst, Talon takes a quick hop to the left tangentially while wheeling around to face the gunman and lowering his profile into a crouch; taking this position will hopefully break the gangers aim for a moment while also prepping for another charge.

startled that talon decided to take such aggressive action, it takes shed a bit to act but he goes after hernando and tries to better asses the situation and try to hide his face as best he can ((can shed assist hernando with the swordsman and cover talon?))

((can shed assist hernando with the swordsman and cover talon?))
(( Not really, Talon is about 90 degrees from Shed's path of movement and close to 8m away. Besides Talon himself is moving at cyberspeed and his opponents are literally bouncing off the floor, WAY to much movement over there to keep track of and still pay any attention at all to the swordsman. ))

Hernando will (in a safe distance) walk to the opposite direction of Talon to force his enemy to stop paying any attention to Talon; at the same time he will take a knife.

The swordsman hesitates a moment, glances toward Talon, then seeing he is occupied takes a couple sidesteps to insure his back is not toward Talon and faces Hernando. When Hernando pulls his knife the swordsman smiles slightly and swings the sword in a flourish. Hernando "thinks" he might be in trouble.

Once turned around Talon assesses the situation, checking first to see if Gunman #1 still has his weapon, or if he has been disarmed.

(( If gunman #1 is still armed merely turning around after the hop to the side may not be the best choice. Perhaps an addition evasive move while Talon assesses if he's still armed? Talon isn't going to be able to do much of anything to help Hernando IF the gunman is still armed. ))

Regardless of whether Gunman #1 is armed, Talon needs to disable both the remaining assailants before his crew can continue forward. With that in mind it would be better for him to take out the already floored gunman, rather than ignore him and go for the swordsman, regardless of if he has a gun or not; it works out better if he simply assumes the gunman is armed and preparing to fire.

After landing to the side at a crouch, Talon takes the short dash towards Gunman #1, remaining grounded rather than leaping so that he can quickly react and weave as necessary to dodge incoming fire. He takes a curved path, rather than a direct one so that his trajectory won't be as easy to predict, aiming to deliver another kick once in range.

As Hernando starts to back up the swordsman moves toward him in sort of a crab-skuttle dash. It looks a bit clumsy but the speed at which he moves is impressive (( Cyberware? Or just a martial arts thing? )). Hernando has only a moment or two to react.

As Talon lands from his side hop and pivots toward gunman #1 he sees the guy attempting to regain his feet, turn toward Talon, and get his weapon up ... it would be a more impressive display if he wasn't still half dazed from Talons' kick. Talon dashes forward in a curve and the gunman squeezes off a round ... it passes nearer Hernando then Talon, but isn't even close to either.
(( roll brawl or martial arts for the kick ))

(( Shed is more-or-less behind Hernando ... what's he doing? ))

Kick (Martial Arts, Xing-Chiao) = 9 (REF) + 2 (Xing-Chiao) + 5 (roll) = 16 total

At the last moment gunman #1 gets his weapon pointed toward Talon and fires! The round (9mm) hits Talon in the left leg, but between body armor and Soviet "precision engineering" the round bounces off. Talon now has a minor dent in his left leg (it doesn't effect anything, just aesthetics).

Talons kick again knocks gunman #1 sprawling, down but not out. Two or three more of these he'll be down for the count. This time Talon is basically on top of him (no flying leap) so as he gets up/reoriented Talon gets another chance to smack him (roll martial arts).

(( Unless we hear from Hernando or Shed we'll pause after this until we do ... or a RL week passes. ))

Hernando as soon as he hears the shot, stop using the soundless approach, get his gun and shoot the guy. It's useless to keep the stealth, now that some shots are being fired and he simply tries to save his owns skin.
