I doubt that anybody who has these crashes since release wouldn't have tried to do all this. Also, it didn't change anything about my crashes.

I would really like to have a statement from CDPR.
If it's just that they're aware of it.... but I couldn't find anything in "the whole internet"....

Is there any way to get their attention? :O

You can try opening a ticket at this link:
http://en.cdprojektred.com/contact-support/

I have reported this same problem to them several days ago, I got some feedback from them but the problem has not been resolved, even after the latest Nvidia drivers 353.06. I don't think CDPR has recognized that this is an issue in their game code.

It's not 3rd party programs, i have fresh installed windows 8.1 only with typical popular programs etc. Also nothing overlocked. This is problem with game.
Not even trying to make a ticket since support is a joke, like mostly ;).

If you show support there is a issue, they will put it on their list to fix / investigate. Some crashes and bugs aren't at all easy to find and you might not think they care but for all you know it could be a issue where they have to work with another company to investigate which in turn takes more time.

All i was saying was that MOST the DAY 1 Access violation posts ended up being solved by some kind of 3rd party software, misconfig or bios setting.

I don't believe in bios settings solving this specific crash message. Not closing other running programs ether. Like I wrote earlier in this thread an Access Violation crash is about the specific program trying to use memory in an inappropriate way, it stems from a bug in the game code (or possibly in some third-part code used by the game code, possibly the drivers). I don't see what bios setting would have an impact on that. Other programs certainly doesn't. Though, I'm not saying that closing other programs couldn't stabilize the game for other reasons than this specific crash message.

Ticket opened. Hope they´ll answer/fix it soon :)
I attached all the crashes I had like this since I started playing, so there´s a lot of info for them to look into.

A lot of motherboard by default OC ram, PCI Slot, Etc.. Then you have all the new voltage, power saving functions like cool n quiet, PCI Idle, Ram Idle, powersave, etc.. that do weird things. On top of this, you have 3rd party programs that screw with video like, OSD, ipad second screen, recording, shadowplay, etc..

EDIT:
Did you try memtest
Did you HD Smart Test
If you have a SDD is the firmware up to date?
Did you try setting your nvidia prefrences to default.
Did you try a complete nvidia uninstall and reinstall?
Did you verify game files?
Have you tried running as administrator or without anti-virus running?

Just trying to help.

Every time my game crashes just to the deskop, it is this Access Violation, however, the reading code varies.

@RedBehrend: I saw you posting that in another thread, and like I said earlier, these are the things everybody here already tried. But thanks for the copy-paste effort :p I don't wanna be mean, it's just, that I read about these solutions in every thread and now they just make me mad. And maybe I envy the guys who this actually helped... :D

I have a GTX660ti & i5 3750k. Nothing overclocked, using geforce experience settings and can't last ten minutes without a freeze.

Even tried playing in 720p with all the lowest settings and it still froze. No idea what to do next tbh.

Sounds like your settings are off as most of the video problems on the forums have been fixed by changing the video settings, new drivers or overclock, afterburner / precision type software settings being changed.

Except for I'm not running any third party programs nor is anything overclocked...

You would be surprised how many people it helps, example (nothing personal Shane) he doesn't state if he checked bios? Tried nvidia defaults, is running any OSD software like fraps, afterburner, precision etc. So if i were to help him I would have to repeat it again just to know the answer :p Then a ton of times they will never come back because once fixed they don't are happy and leave haha.

Did you try the list and have you tried to play in in windowsless vs full screen?
Have you tried changed the resolution?
Have you tried disabling DEP for the process.
Computer -> Properties -> Advanced system settings -> Settings (in Advanced) -> Data Execution Prevention
Add under exclusions and try your other setting.

Let me know.

I disabled Nvidia HD audio and streaming services and went a whole 90 minutes before it froze again. Now when I try to run it I just get a black screen.

Just checked my BIOS it's American megatrends P1,90 04/12/2012, the CPU isn't OC. The motherboard is an asrock z77, I don't know if anything else on there is OC.

I'm not running any overclocking software.

I tried disabling DEP and it says you can't do it on 64-bit executables.

Yea nevermind you have hardware based DEP and reg/boot edits are a pain.

Do you have any of the programs installed where you would be able to watch your hardware heat? I'm guessing if you restart you can probably go another 90 min about?

So, the answer I got from CD Projekt Red's Support was this:

please install MSI afterburner software and set:

Power limit to 110%

and Core Clock to -20 Hz

And, yeah, I would totally like to try this one out, but unfortunatly I can't increase the "Power Limit" bar in my MSI Afterburner. Could someone please help meee? :')

I guess I'll give this a try. I've been running Power Limit at 110% already but with a factory overclock on my MSI GTX970 Gaming 100ME.

Hi,

I am not running any 3rd party software or overclock or factory overclock on my TITAN X cards and 353.06 causes the black screen crash consistently.

Every single crash event, there is no NVIDIA kernel error logged. The driver itself is not crashing for me, it seems to be only the game.

This issue is not present at all on the Game Ready driver 352.86.

out of the many crashes, rarely managed to get a crash log as the game is just running by itself in the background - but here is a log it did managed to create.

Oh, but despite this...the game is amazing! Thank you CDPR :)

They answered me to download Nvidia inspector and click both(core clock and memory clock) to -20Hz and apply.

This fixed the crashes for me. Try it.

Hi.

Win8.1 х64, i5-2500k, GTX970

8Gb RAM, swap disabled - periodically get an error about insufficient memory.

8Gb RAM, swap enabled - game works perfectly.

Add +8Gb RAM, memtest+ pass successfully (in sum, we obtain - 16Gb RAM) - game crashes every 5-15 minutes regardless of swap enabled or disabled

Removed 8Gb RAM (in sum, we obtain - again 8Gb RAM), swap enabled - game works perfectly again.
