Memtest+ is useless at gauging memory stability. If you're adding memory and getting issues, the memory isn't stable. Use HCI Memtest pro and open an instance for every thread and allocate 85-90% of memory so the OS can breathe. Minimum of 200-400% coverage.Hi.
Win8.1 х64, i5-2500k, GTX970
8Gb RAM, swap disabled - periodically get an error about insufficient memory.
8Gb RAM, swap enabled - game works perfectly.
Add +8Gb RAM, memtest+ pass successfully (in sum, we obtain - 16Gb RAM) - game crashes every 5-15 minutes regardless of swap enabled or disabled
Removed 8Gb RAM (in sum, we obtain - again 8Gb RAM), swap enabled - game works perfectly again.
I mean no disrespect but posts like this just add unnecessary fuel to the fire. It's difficult enough as it is to rectify every ones problems.
