And what tells you that it will be a failure?Have you asked to your Nehalenia mirror, or consulted the glass sphere? LOLSifer2 said:Yeah I am sure some of the Crytek fans felt the same way. Until they actually installed an played Crysis 2 an realized they had been sold out. A focus on console development is almost never a good thing if your a PC gamer. Good for the Publishers wallets mainly.I want CDP to make money. I just don't want the quality of the game or future Witcher titles to be compromised by multiplatform development.Sifer2 said:Again, CDP fans should happily hop up and down, knowing that it will have the chance to gain more money, and thus surviving long to make more awesome games like TW.
Mass Effect 2 sold 7million copies on all platform if not mistaken. I replayed ME2 and honestly the world is quite small and it's apparent of the dated engine. What makes it a great game probably of the unique storyline and the characters.Edk said:I think the game will sell as much copies as the witcher 1 in the first 2 weeks. 1.7 million copies is a lot, considering Mass Effect 2 sold about 2 million (correct me if I'm wrong) on three platforms.
I yhink the seven million copies were for both Mass Effect 1 and 2 combined. The Witcher 2 is coming out in a great time-just after the extremely disappointing Dragon Age 2 and before the very popular Skyrim. I will be very happy if the game sells 5 million copies in the first month, and I think this is a realistic prospect. Unlike shooters, RPGs sales stay steady for a long time.archaven said:Mass Effect 2 sold 7million copies on all platform if not mistaken. I followed Crysis 2's development and it was pretty clear from early on that console was their priority. I don't think it's relevant to draw parallels between that game and TW2.Sifer2 said:Yeah I am sure some of the Crytek fans felt the same way. so true. after they shafted me on PoP '08 by withholding the bleeping END OF THE GAME i started boycotting their products.it's been easy to do so far.DelightfulMcCoy said:Too bad Ubi$oft alienated pc players ad infinitum, now. EVIL.CDPR would have to do A LOT worse to get THERE.![]()
I agree on this hehe made with consoles in mind blew itI will buy TW2 anyway just to support CDPR because i love their first game , of course i will not buy anything more from them if they go multiplatform, once a developer is touched by consoles everything starts going down fast , you can take bethesda & bioware examples.archaven said:Honestly the 'PC exclusive' really pissed me off though. They should never, ever falsely advertise as 'PC exclusive' when it is not meant to be. From the looks of the game, the combat, radial menu, controller support, 16:9 aspect ratio, it is clearly a title that was been planned as a multi-platform game. But advertising 'PC exclusive' was really a bad move.
Bravo!Yeah, I'm almost ashamed to admit that I own PoP The Forgotten Sands, though I promised myself not to buy it. Well I DIDN'T buy it. It was included with my graphic card. And what did I find out that the game had in common with most of those heavily "protected" games? Not worth the price, because a full price game is something else entirely. Plus, they didn't even manage to this day to patch out their embarrassing savegame glitch, where you can shut yourself out of the game for good if you die at an unfortunate place. I guess they needed the money for the development of their idiotic DRM instead for making a good game. And the "no, pc gamers don't get to finish PoP 2008, that's console exclusive" was a total jerk move. They deserve to go down. Hard.Kodaemon said:Once I heard about Ubi's DRM for AC2, I pretty much started pretending the game doesn't exist.
