PC Hotfix

+
Thanks for the updates and mission fixes, also love how we can change V appearance. Another great feature more control over graphic quality settings too, looks amazing with the DLSS sharpening mode set to 1.

Hey,
I like this patch a lot.

The minimap looks much cleaner. I like the quest "streaming" (better than all-in, as it doesn't spam the minimap too much). And the more distinctive icons make it easier to look for the desired content.

Also, NC seems more alive - there are more NPCs, more cars, the AI reacts better,...

At least these are the changes I am noticing the most in my current playthrough.
So once again, thank you CDPR for your undying resolve

Since the Hotfix I am unable to grab enemies to do takedowns. I am also unable to loot some enemies - I will see an icon that indicates that they have equipment, but cannot loot it.

Have you used mods before ?
If yes, maybe a good idea to delete your UserSettings.json in any case.

it be kinda nice to know what is being 'fixed'. is this for the nahimicservice service that if not stopped before game startup, you flatline? and where to get / how to install? Steam doesnt seem to be auto updating ( yes, it's all enabled )
thanks for the help!

It is. To fix a game crash on boot due to Audio Softwares.
From what I read, the hotfix is about 14MB, so maybe you didn't see it and it's already installed (and anyway, if I'm right, the game version doesn't change).

See my post a little earlier.

We decide to modify official game files with non-official ones, there is zero sense in getting angry at CDPR for updating their game and breaking mods. Their job isn't to support mods, it's to support the official release of the game. Heck, we're lucky we can mod the game properly in the first place, not every company gives a damn about mods. Let's not encourage them to leave modding capabilities out altogether by giving them shit when they do exactly what they should be doing.

No. No. No. You've got me all wrong.

My point was being pissed of for not being able to revert to HF1 or original Patch 1.5 instead of staying on ever crashing patch 1.5. HF2.

Anyways. As I suspected it was all within the major 3 platform mods (if I may call it that way) and the guys had it fixed in no time. So I was happy to be able to continue playing. :)
The DEVs and the MODders are awesome.

Thank you guys for creating that content.

I had a audio glitch yesterday unrelated to startup, after defeating the cyberpsycho "Bloody ritual" i could hear her little whimpers still until i restarted my game, only then it stopped.

Not tested in 1.5 yet, but it happened to me almost in each playthrough in 1.31.
So you can report it to the support if it's not already done ;)
(no need to try the steps indeed, it won't fix the issue).

A hotfix for Cyberpunk 2077 is out on PC. It addresses audio software-related crashes on game launch.
Interesting, it introduced audio issues for me which I did not had before!
I downgraded one version, it's fine again.

Can I help in any way? System report/specs, benchmarks with json logs, comparing different patches and different gfx drivers, etc...?
Besides the audio problems, the latest patch also made my frametimes/min fps worse.

My vortex gone crazy after the update. It says : reason: Game doesn't support symlinks, deploying and modding just doesnt work anymore. What the hell ??

The game completely crashes since 1.5 and the latest Hotfixes did nothing for me to change that.
And no, I didn't even had any of the aforementioned audio-services running on my system.

The only thing that works is the main menu, that's it.

Send a crash report every time too, so fingers crossed for Hotfix #3
So I've finally solved the issue by chance, but you're not going to like how because... well.
I switched from an AMD RX 6800 XT to an RTX 3080 ti.
(From ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 16G OC to an ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 3080TI 12 GB OC to be precise)

That's not gonna help anyone but maybe someone thought about switching, since GPUs are finally becoming somewhat cheaper.

This is more of a technical and legality thing than an impossibility. If on GOG for PC, you might be able to manually download the installation package, then only update things up to 1.5 HF1. Just don't install HF2. (If available. Not sure if that's how it's structured.) There is no way to "uninstall" just a patch, though. That will be true of all games. It will require a complete re-installation.

If on sites like Steam, Epic, or Origin, or if on consoles, you must have the latest available version installed at all times, as the licensing will only offer support for current versions, not prior versions. Therefore, if you're seeing any sort of issue after an update, the only options players have is to troubleshoot and/or wait for another update. That's just how it works for now.

I do agree (and have always agreed) that it would be nice to be able to have the ability to revert to legacy versions by acknowledging that there is no support available. Just for the sake of modding and odd technical issues. But, that's not the way it works at present.

Does this address the issue where your fps drops very hard when you're opening the map?
Opening the map, or returning to the menu/game from any of the tabs (most often the map, inventory, or crafting tabs).
Happens to me a lot after Hotfix 1 or maybe after 1.5 itself
For me, the crashes started after I installed Gog Galaxy 2.0, but they got really bad after Patch 1.5. I figured out a (sort of) workaround: If I wait several seconds after clicking on anything in the tabs (or on the menu), the game seems to be much less likely to crash.
Is anyone else using Bluetooth headphones? I have tried everything to try trouble-shoot and force it to work, but for the life of me I just can't get Cyberpunk to pick up my buds. Wired headphones and speakers work just fine, but wireless just seems to be a no go.
I haven't, since installing 1.5, but before the patch, my bluetooth headphones worked with the game. I'll check when I play this evening.

This sounds like you have a cocktail of various things that aren't playing nicely on your PC. I'd recommend completely uninstalling GOG Galaxy, manually clean out your ...[UserName]\AppData\... folder of any references to Galaxy, then reinstall Galaxy from the GOG webpage. (Maybe opt out of the Beta / Experimental branch for now.)

This won't affect your account or your installed games. You'll just have to log back in manually following the reinstallation, go through the 2SA if you use the option, and possibly verify each of your games the first time you launch them.

Sounds like something with Galaxy may have gotten borked.

This is a confirmed driver issue. If you don't want to downgrade your drivers, you'll have to wait for new ones to come out and fix it.
Alrighties, thanks then. I'll just wait then. Not been playing in a bit, so can wait a little longer. :)

Can't install hotfix 2 for 1.5 on GOG (40mb). Always fails. As the first hotfix when it was released. Reinstall GOG does nothing. I tried it on two different PC, it didn't work on either of them. I can still reinstall the entire game, but honestly I'm tired of GOG, it never works properly.

Not a big deal though. I can still play the hotfix 1.5 version.

bug fixed

Hi I had a sound problem with patch 1.5 under windows 11 64bit pro (this precision is important). I went back to windows 10 64bit pro, with the same sound card driver (creative sound blaster ZX). As luck would have it, no more sound problems with patch 1.5. Problem fixed.
