Raw Mouse Input is definitely desired but I kind of doubt it. I wouldn't mind it too much if it's really minimal acceleration.

The real deal is - target switching using WASD without changing camera all the time, this changes everything about the combat. TW2 didn't support it on KB+M so you had to turn your camera angle towards each foe, controller let you do it.

The thing I'd really appreciate is, if the "active pause" (or in this case, slow motion) wouldn't force the radial menu on you if don't need it (read: are playing with M+K and hotkeys). I really love being able to pause/slow the game, but that damn radial obscenity stopped me from using it altogether in TW2.

well that's not what it's there for. it just stops the game while you choose your signs/bombs. it's a function for people who couldn't remember the numbers for each signs after 40 hours (like me), or for controllers. I don't think pausing really fits with the style of the witcher 2/3 combat.

Well, that's why other RPGs have that little hotbar at the bottom of the screen - so that you don't have to remember everything all the time. Typcial PC stuff...

And I want to know how mouse/keyboard is used in menus. Like drag/drop, doube click, mouse-over information.

Can we write personal notes on the map (using the special power of keyboards)?

But yes, combat and movement control in combination with camera control is crucial...

And that's relevant because ...? I don't care what it's there for (and I don't think I've actually read an official comment supporting your statement), I just voiced my opinion about a feature. I'm not expecting it to happen, but I'd still like that. And TW1 had exactly that, an active pause without any kind of crap in the middle of the screen. I know it's a different combat system, but nevertheless I don't think there's any reasonable argument against active pause/slow motion, you're always free to not use it after all.

It could be that it is just easier to play with a controller than KB + M. Since they are only there for a couple of days why waste time with a learning curve?

How can OPTIMIZATION of such a standard input method as mouse and keyboard be an issue for such talented developers, especially after all the constructive feedback they got from TW2, where not everything worked properly? After 2 delays?

It's just beyond me at this point.

Simple answer: the user interface was originally designed for controllers, and it is being adapted to use with KB+M. Which sucks..

sure, they could put it in, it wouldn't bother me. my problem was that you were talking about a "pause" feature in the witcher 2 as if it had one and they messed it up. it didn't have one. saying the quick menu is a pause function is like saying opening your inventory in skyrim is a pause function. but this is a bit off-topic.

Indeed. But one would think that this "adaption" would be mostly finished one month before release, after announcing that the game has "gone gold"...

If that was true they would have fucked up the M/K controls.

apparently, according to this guy's video who got to test the game in warsaw last week, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS7D5aCL-84&feature=youtu.be&t=4m10s (from 4:10 to 4:45), the PC version, as he called it, including the controls is not ready. therefore, he was forced to play it with an xbox controller.

this doesn't look good at all.

Uh... that's strange. I would swear that cd projekt guy wrote on this forum and said that he was playing game on KB/M. I don't understand all this though... if it's true. PC version should have highest potential user adaption and revenue... KB/M enviroment should have been priority since beginning of development and interface should also have been optimized primarily for PC's. Witcher 2 controls weren't bad though but I spent some annoyingly long time learning how to properly do stuff like throwing daggers and bombs... almost made me not use them at all.

You guys are sure making allot of drama out of a game that nobody has. Knowing this company im sure everything will be fine. For most since Witcher 2 the series has played better for them with controllers compared to mouse keyboard. Allot of pc gamers these days have a big screen aka 55 inch sony they play the witcher games on in 3dvision. Everybodys man cave is different.
First game was a great keyboard mouse game. After that it became a controller game, so i imagine witcher 3 being released on all the fancy consoles too will bring a much better fluid control scheme with a controller. But its all guess work until we actually have the game.

Well, some of us still prefer mouse and keyboard over controllers, no matter what the prevailing fashion may be. And some of us don't have 55" screens, either.

Exactly the point. Just because a vocal few here are worried about keyboard mouse controls doesn't mean it's the majority. I will agree it is a bit odd they are asking testers to use only a controller at this stage of the game. But isn't it true that some of those stating its the pc version are incorrect and it's actually the xbone version? Guess will find out next month.

But it's gone gold. You're saying they might still be fine tuning it and it'll be in the day 1 patch?
