I have the same issue. If i'm wearing no clothes the character appears fully nude in the inventory screen only, gameplay i'm wearing underwear even if nothing is equipped.
Could also be that it would be seen in bad taste to allow a character to run around fully nude when there's NPC kids on the street.

I hope this is a bug and not an intended feature, they keep harping on us about immersion but this is very immersion breaking when you are aware you are fully nude and it is shown in inventory screen but when you look down and look at the mirror you still have that censor boxer on, it is jarring also who take shower with boxers on?
I really hope that nudity and gore wasn't toned down before release to appease anyone, if so then we were lied to. If I want run around with my junk out, let me, male or female, can't even pubic hair.

I'm assuming your "immersion breaking" comment is just hyperbole, but if it is a bug its definitely not the most pressing one present.
I'm also wondering if its on purpose and they dont want people running around with their dingus out taking photos with the NPC children on the street. Like it was always designed to be nudity in the inventory screen only. If it is an issue of nudity and the child NPC's maybe a middle ground is nudity only in your apartment or certain adult only areas of the game.
Night city is a place where everything is exploited and sexuality is everywhere, that's not an issue for kids in the city. Naked is just naked. The full nudity needs to be what they promised. The gore to.
Hm, I'm not sure why the workaround on page-6 is Ken-dolling the character model for some people. Could it be that the genitalia had not been turned on/selected for those characters at creation?
And to put the nail on the "full nudity was never intended" argument, pardon the crudeness, but:
I haven't launched the game on 1.04 patch yet, but I could trigger nudity at any time up until then (I'm on PC, Steam version, screenshot was made several hours ago).

In an effort to find a proper workaround for this particular bug, I've tried several things, none of which were successful. For the sake of helping people try new things instead of duplicating things we've already done, I'll list what I've tried so far:
1. Started a new game with the nudity censor active, then turned it on and loaded a saved game (to see if doing so would 'reset' the censor).
2. Tried two different skin tones on two different life paths (to see if it was linked to a specific path and tone).
3. Looked in the mirror and changed clothes in the inventory screen.
4. Verified the game's files via Steam.
Interestingly, V's clothes seem to get 'stuck' on the first-person model in the Nomad path. Changing clothes in the inventory still works, but the first-person view remains fully dressed. At this point, I'm willing to declare it a bug with the clothing system, though of course I don't know for sure.
Also, I don't recall the problem appearing until I started the Nomad path (my 'first-timer' game was on the Corpo path), but I was pretty tired and can't remember if I actually checked or not.
The next test I'm going to try is to delete all of my saved games and start again, to see if it's being caused by some kind of file corruption in the auto-save system.

Hey Futalove, are you playing a futa character in game? If so, what happens when you look in the mirror that's in the bathroom of your apartment? For my V, her penis becomes a vagina, but only in the mirror. She appears correct (breasts/penis) in the inventory screen.
I suppose in that sense it's a fair comment. You can't rock out with you **** out but I'm zipping around dissecting people. Doesn't really make sense.
I don't think our bug reports have been going through at all. Sometimes the submit button doesn't work but I have yet to get a confirmation at all

It is not a hyperbole it is immersion breaking I mean I stripped down to take a shower in the nude, but to see I'm still in boxers when I'm aware that I'm fully nude in inventory screen is visually disjointed to me hence it is immersion breaker. I mean I don't roleplay my V to be nude 24/7 on the streets of nightcity but I can't even be fully nude in my own apartment to take a shower?
Granted yes there are many important game breaking bugs needs to be fix first and ASAP but I do hope they address this issue down the line later I'm in no hurry.
From experience (consumer relations for one of CDPR's bigger rivals), they are prioritizing high impact issues, specifically for the 1st party consoles. It's normal for support to take days before responding to a ticket, and a cosmetic issue like this (normally) would be pushed way back before QC would even address it. I say normally, because this is a visual texture glitch and is a no-impact on the product; but this one is strongly linked with the marketing selling points for the title, so I'm wondering if the reason why the mods are quiet is because they're figuring out how to address it internally.
Normally when you submit a ticket to any company, game or otherwise, you'll usually receive an instant email confirming they've received your ticket and will respond soon.
When I submit a ticket, one of two things happens. Either the submit button has a loading circle and then just stops and nothing happens. Or after clicking submit it takes me to a page giving me a choice of support articles. No confirmation on that page either. And of course, no email confirmation.
As someone who's worked in development, marketing, and currently works in tech environments this means they've either programmed it badly and left the customer high and dry with no way of knowing their ticket went through. Or their website is broken and can't accept tickets.
Until someone gets a response (I haven't gotten one from the one I submitted release day), then I will believe tickets aren't going through at all
