Exactly! It doesn't make any sense, especially story wise. Either it really is a bug, or there is more to it than we're aware of as of now.

In my opinion i think it has to be a bug just due to the fact why would they let you choose genitals to censor them in sex scenes anyway it all points to being a bug it physically makes no sense and the fact they already got approval for nudity anyway also being nude in the inventory screen vs fps makes no difference also someone on this post found an npc that was pretty much nude.... anyway sorry for the massive paragraph
Here's how I see this whole thing. I've started 3 different saves just to test this and I get varying results of when the bug happens, so I definitely think its a bug.
The day 0 patch and the new patch make no difference and idk why people are claiming so. I've had the same reoccurring issues, and temp fixes, on both versions so far.
GOG is not part of the cyberpunk development and they haven't really helped us in any way. For example, I work for the airlines and provide the service to fly. But, the social media people and the complaint people have nothing to do with us unless they ask us what's up. That's how I see GOG, just a middle man with no info until they ask cdpr.
Considering the size of this thread and the # of views it has, I wouldn't be surprised if cdpr has seen it but declined to comment for whatever reasons they see fit.

They did though, and confirmed it a bug, like 7 pages ago.
From what I can tell this wasn't CDPR responding, it was just a GOG mod. Even if they are cdpr, they never directly confirmed it was a bug, they just assumed it was a bug based on their knowledge. I won't take anything but a "yes it is a bug". I honestly do think it is though.
Like 2 or 3 pages ago a mod confirmed it isn't intentional.
Underwear is just a censorship if full nudity it was intended to be in game.
What i find most logical is that it has something to do with the Japanese censored version, since it is only the panties and boxers that consistently stays on, the Japanese no no zone. It must be some line of code that is mistakenly set to worldwide or something. Has a game even ever been released with seperate censorship to this extent? I could imagine if they fidled with something like that and they set on full nudity for Japan it would be an outrage

But they do. Day one of playing the game i had no nude bugs at all. No underwear anywhere in my game until 1.03 came down. I also tested a version of the game that doesn’t update and that version still has full nudity
I think it wasn't supposed to show full nudity in our characters, it only was a feature for the inventory menu. That's why when you where infront of the mirror it doesn't show up pubic hair or genital modifications, so they fixed it in the last patch.

No. We still have underpants in intimate scenes where it clearly isn't supposed to be, and there are several outfits that show off more than nude V does ATM. It isn't censored on purpose, its a bug.

Disagree - it's there, it's literally because of the perspective of the camera (in-line with the eyes) and the pose of the body (base of the hips pointed down and away) there there isn't much detail revealed. That is how it realistically is. When the "approaching and leaving mirror" animations are occurring - you can you see stuff just fine.
I've been quite vocal in my anti-censorship thoughts earlier in this thread, and after some thorough testing - I'm quite certain that this is just a bug that CDPR will fix. In the mean-time use the work-around while they work on some more important things like the accessibility for disabled persons (who aren't able to play the game AT ALL) at the top of this forum.
Great work CDPR - please fix ASAP, but amazing game and great efforts! Looking forward to everything being polished, but totally playable and enjoyable!
