I went to a toyboy yesterday to test sex scenes and V had no underwear in the cutscenes. So it is definitely a bug.

I was referring to things like children or mantis blades not appearing in photos. The nudity aspects should work if that's what you chose for at character creation for your playthrough.

GOG is not directly part of the CDPR studio, but they aren't totally cut off. However, mistakes can be made on any side at any time. Communication is not always 100%. Let's not start getting out of sorts if someone makes a mistake. (I've made plenty. [So have you.] If someone says something that is then proven inaccurate, such is life.)

However, all information regarding the game is only valid if it comes from the CDPR Studio directly. Even if announced on GOG, it will be by a RED or it will link to the official RED announcement. As far as has been officially announced, there is no intended censorship in the game if running in "graphic mode". If you're seeing something like that, it's most likely a bug and should be reported.

I think it wasn't supposed to show full nudity in our characters, it only was a feature for the inventory menu. That's why when you where infront of the mirror it doesn't show up pubic hair or genital modifications, so they fixed it in the last patch.

Thoughts?

I've had the same issue. I reported it to CDPR

If you are having this issue please make sure you're also reporting the bug through the official bug report channels.

The Vagina is there for cryin out loud... it's there, it's literally because of the perspective of the camera (in-line with the eyes) and the pose of the body (base of the hips pointed down and away) there there isn't much detail revealed. That is how it realistically is. When the "approaching and leaving mirror" animations are occurring - you can you see stuff just fine.

Regarding the underwear appearing, yes it is a bug. But so far as female genitalia appearing as "barbie dolls" in the mirror -- that's just how female anatomy works folks...

It's literally a matter of angles and anatomy - same struggle that all artists have had since we learned how to mash up berries and paint women on rocks.

It's funny, cuz on ps4 we didn't even get 1.03. We went from 1.02 at launch right to the 1.04 patch (what was it... yesterday? It's all a blur since day one).

All I know is at some point between launch day and 1.04 I could get fully nude in photo mode lol

You are absolutely right and I was wrong. Here's a the two reasons why I was confused and that I WAS getting a smooth barbie-doll vagina in Photo-mode, for the benefit of anyone else who is having this problem.

1. My texture quality was set to low, giving me such a low res vagina that it looked smooth.

2. My original character had no pubic hair, so it was hard for me to see if the pants workaround was actually working or not. I've discovered that if V is wearing invisible pants (pants are equipped but are invisible) then the purple panty texture is gone, but so is the pubic hair texture and vagina texture. Taking off the invisible pants (if they are not stuck) reveals both vagina texture and pubic hair textures. Since my original character had no pubic hair, I didn't notice a difference in the inventory screen, where, because of how female anatomy works, the vagina is not very visible.

So, when doing the "pants" work around, add two more steps.

1. Make sure your texture quality is set to at least medium.
2. Make sure you are not wearing invisible lower body items.

EDIT: Successful workaround
Screenshot 2020-12-13 11.18.55.png

PS: This same thing (invisible lower body item), was making V's toe-nails invisible as well. Fixed now that I upped textures and removed invisible pants.

I'm actually kind of disappointed in terms of censorship myself. Night City and the Cyberpunk universe as a whole seems like trully free progressive society in terms of what people are and the ways they express themselves. Trans, gays, bi, and hetero people are able to dress, look and act the way they want (distopian components of this society apart). Women dress as provocative as they want, same goes for men, same goes for trans, etc., and nobody seems to sexualize anyone by their looks.

They promised no kind of censorship, nudity would mean nudity, and yet, I'm still seeing fairly covered up prostitutes and strippers that look pretty modest in comparison to regular civilians lol; I also see billboards that switch to SFW ones when you enter photo mode; and of course, I can't see my big dong when I remove my pants.

You made it happen CD Projekt RED, you made an inclusive game, that lacks puritanism and conservadurism. Don't get cold feet now...

Yeah, was really hoping for the adult mature rpg experience in Night City we were promised. And it not even close. Biggest reason I gave up my no pre orders vow. CDPR knew how trusted they were, knew how much better they were viewed in comparison to other big developers, then they stopped all over that trust.

Just a short question to those replying they'd see underwear using the shower: Do you actually see your body? It's just showing my arms for me

You're wearing short sleeves. Put a jacket on.
The underwear thing is when you wake up in the shower, you are sitting in the corner and you can actually see yourself.

You need to enlarge the FOV. If you set it to 100 or 90 you can see your arms and body.

I don't think CDPR lied to us anyway guys. I mean, the censorship story has no sense. If they really did censor it, we wouldn't see V nude not even in inventory.
It is just a bug that somehow spams underwear bloody everywhere. But it being intentional, has no sense.
I'm pretty sure that they will fix it one day. Really hope so.

My pc spec for the record:
GPU: AMD RX 590
CPU: AMD Ryzen5 2600
RAM: 16gb
SSD: sata3 (about 500mb read/write)

All items show up correctly most of the time. If I change to TPP on a bike I can see my bald head for a split second, then the hair and hat loads up. In the mirror all the clothes load up fine, but my face doesn't emote very well, all emotions look almost the same. Face looks fine in photo mode.
In the quest for Panam where you drive the Basilisc there are moments where you see yourself in TPP (when you connect to the thing) and there my head is bald.

The problem I'm having is the complete lack fo communication. I have no way to know that is is just a bug, which seems the most likely. Without any official acknowledgement I have no way of knowing if or when this might be fixed. Instead, I get to sit around and speculate that they probably panicked when dongs were flopping around for streamers and did a quick fix to appease a tiny portion of the player base that drive a lot of traffic and ended up screwing us over and keeping us from being able to enjoy the game. I keep submitting bug reports and I can't even get an email acknowledging my report was actually submitted. They have to be getting slammed by all kinds of bug reports right now, and the best way to slow that is to actually maintain a public list of what issues they have verified and the current priority even if it is likely to change.

If I enlarge the FOV above 80 I see less parts of my body ingame. However, no matter what FOV or resolution I still just see my arms in the shower scene. Nothing else. As for the "waking up in shower" I assume thats some kind of story progress thing since I wouldn't know how to do that :D

However, I was talking about just pressing the shower button in V's Appartment.

As for the normal point of view talking about looking down ingame first person, it's fine. See my body from breasts downwards.

I totally agree with you on this. The total lack of communication is the worst part.

So you can't see your legs or torso if you look down? Cause when in the shower today i had your same problem, could only see my arms. Enlarged the FOV and looking down i could see everything. Than I put it back to normal for exploration.
STILL, we wanna see the dong free!!
