Wow that's awesome, getting games here for both PC and Consoles suck to be honest. According to a pole it's cheaper to buy and get a game imported than it is to buy one off a retailer here in Australia because they overcharge by twice the amount that other countries do. :wall: So I guess the message is if you want to get ripped off buy your games from a store or from a retailer! ;Dkawalorn said:Well it's not so easy in poland most people play here on pc cause if it's even more expensive, games on it are sometimes 3 TIMES cheaper than consloe games (mostly 2 tImes). So in Poland it is much cheaper to buy a pc if ya wanna play games
I guess for countries from Europe, and anywhere else for that matter, that don't speak English and own a console would be getting the hard end of the stick. Hope the wait for translated PC games isn't too long!kawalorn said:Well the prices are lower for pc games are lower cause we don't get as much money. but they MUST be translated on polish so we can't sell them in other countries. So it may be a problem. Console games are more expencive cause they CAN'T be translated.
[size=11pt]I can see this thread was started some time ago, and it's still live, apparently. This is one of the oldest questions I see on a number of forums. The answer is simple: Depends on what game you're playing. If it's not able to be modded, then the console version is best. Reason: consoles are geared for nothing but gaming. 100% of their design is set up for games. If you can 'mod' the game at all, then you'll want this on a PC. Reason: it's hard to download and install a mod onto a console platform. Most mods are set up for PC enviornments. A few examples: Morrowind, Oblivion, The Witcher, Silent Hunter 3 and 4, Train Simulators by both Auren and Microsoft, as well as MS Flight Simulator. All would play great on a console, but you would loose the ability to use mods with them, and anyone who's played any of the above knows they're more fun when you can "adjust" the game to your liking. My personal preference is PC, mainly because that's what I've been using for around 20 years now. Of course, each new game comes out with tons of new requirements, especially revolving around memory and video card requirements. That, of course, can get real expensive.Hope that answers your question.romeolongsword said:I got a Wii already, should I have a PS3 also?I only really want to play Assassin's Creed and Metal Gear Solid 4, nothing else, is it worth the money still?
I hope you're wrong. Besides, without PCs there wouldn't be console games. :MoskitoMoonstrider said:I'm an avid PC gamer, I am not sure if this topic was directed at the performance, or the games the PC has to offer. I am one of those gamers that mostly likes RPG and action/adventure games, yet as a PC gamer, and a many other PC gamers, we are getting shoved first person shooter after first person shooter and RTS after RTS through our throat. It feels there's a real lack of genre variety, that the consoles do offer.Due to not having much money, I must be content with upgrading my computer once every two years, so I happily embrace the PC as my gaming "base" , the problem is that the offer for games is ridiculously low. It's little jewels like the World of Warcraft, the Witcher, Neverwinter Nights (the first one, not the atrocity that is so devillishly called Neverwinter Nights 2), Spore, Mass Effect (aside its DRM troubles) that make PC gaming for a non FPS freak still bearable. The PC is without argueing the superior piece of hardware, but as for the majority of the games it offers, I feel pushed away. Just my two cents, as I wanted to discuss this, as I feel PC gaming is just a dying breed.best regards,KW

Here, Here! Mind you I am not a big fan of the consoles, at least if it's not Nintendo. I just think that console games have lost the spark they once had, the only console that does anything for me these days is my Wii, Nintendo FTW. Maybe it's just me. ;DPs: love the animation, it's pretty sweet.RogueRoxy said:I thought it was youAnyway, considering that the Witcher is this popular, and games like NWN, NWN2, Mass Effect, etc. are all available for PC, AND the upcoming EE for the Witcher AND Dragon Age:Origins (eventually)....I'd say PC gamers don't need to worry for awhile.

I would beg to disagree, and, yes, I am a PC only gamer...MoskitoMoonstrider said:Yeah, Dragon Age does show promise...
