Um... yes they did. They even admitted they did in their conference call to their stock holders. Kind of hard to say that when the company themselves admitted to hiding the truth about the condition of the playability on consoles.

Cyberpunk 2077 runs “surprisingly well” on current-gen consoles according to CD Projekt’s CEO

It's good news after the game's recent delay
www.gamesradar.com www.gamesradar.com

This is literally CD Projekt Red's CEO saying the game runs surprisingly well on PS4 a couple weeks ago. Surprisingly well. His exact words.

Add that to the fact CDPR did not let the press have access to the console version of the game and it's pretty obvious they deliberately lied.

Look, I get it, you're a fan and that's fine but you can't ignore the obvious either.

While i do agree weith you that they lied, they meby thought that cp2077 would run at 1 fps on ps4. suprisingly well is better then 1 fps..

Oh, it's undeniable that their definition of surprisingly well and isn't up to most people's standards.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Language barrier.

Are you still maintaining that they didn't lie? Because I'm quite literally providing proof that what they said and the truth are two entirely different things.

If even after that you still believe they didn't lie... then, yeah, let's end this conversation. It is obviously going nowhere.

Yes, they dont lie, do a mistake, assume it and are fixing it - and I still don't understand your point, to thread topics with the same thing, repeating this a trillion times in each topic of this forum? What's your point?
Post automatically merged: Dec 18, 2020

The lie would be 'thought', I mean, 'premeditated'. I don't believe this version because of the history of the CD. But I believe in underestimation, I believe in mistakes, even serious and with serious consequences. But in that case the CD did not lie. It rushed - precipitate*. That yes, for me it is reasonable.

I actually feel sorry for CD Projekt Red. I feel like they allowed themselves to be painted into a corner. They have always been honest and tried to deliver the best product possible to consumers. They have values that have been long gone from a lot of other Developers. I think the game was released before they wanted to release it. I think the early release was due to the pressure they were receiving from fans. I mean really this is a company that tries to give so much material to fans and they do it most the time for free. Even with all that people were issuing threats to these people which was totally uncalled for. The only thing I really believe they are guilty of is mishandling the launch. They have been genuine and its not like they are hiding. To be honest some might even say that fans expectations are somewhat unrealistic expecting the game to run flawlessly on a console that is 13 years old. All in all i think some of the reviewers can cut these guys a little slack based on their exemplary record. I am running it on an XBox One X and I have seen few problems. Again had they held off they would have been castigated for that. Give the guys a chance they have taken ownership of the issues and its only been a week.

I really love what this company stood for, but they lied in every nightwire, over Twitter, at every corner. They kept saying yes to everything, for they wanted to ride the hype. It was about money, and the support they had from fans. They would have still had our support. They shot their own selves in the leg.

This isn't a matter of what they deserve. Consumers/ gamers aren't charity groups. Gaming is seemingly the only industry where companies can get away with murder with false marketing and advertising. Hell, they even KNEW the game ran like sht on last gen, then lied and said it ran fine. IN ANY OTHER INDUSTRY YOU'D BE FACING A LAWSUIT.

Even on a ps4 pro, the game is just straight up bad. Runs at like 15-20 frames, can barely render itself, and crashes every 30 minutes. I'm so happy sony decided to step up and support consumers. It is time to stop letting companies screw over people spending their money. It's time to stop letting devs release unfinished, bugged, and just all and out not ready games. Stop trying to defend companies with hypothetical logic, and judge what you've been served. Which currently, is just an unfinished game that we were lied to about.

edit: oh not to mention, they intentionally denied console reviews of the game, because they knew that they'd get exposed. That's by far the most deceitful crap I've seen all year. even anthem let you beta test the game.

Look, you go around telling people they are factually wrong. That CDPR can do no wrong. That our facts are just opinions but your opinions are facts. Then you came in here citing the rule of law and the principle of burden of proof. Yet, when presented with the proof you demanded you stand back and claim it's factually wrong.

I won't bother with that conversation anymore. If you don't want to argue in good faith, then just don't argue.

As to what is my point - this is a forum. We're having discussions.

Most of these discussions are very positive even when we're criticizing CDPR's recent actions. We're all fans and if we wanted the game to fail, we wouldn't be here. I want the game to succeed but I won't turn a blind eye to the game's or CDPR's shortcomings.

Just to remind you, Sony only started reimbursing its customers after days of the CD's decision to do the same and under pressure from the community itself and not by Sony's 'kindness and generous hearts' ... ;)

I'm sorry but I do think their lying or misleading was premeditated. They hid the performance of older consoles. But you're right they're apologizing and fixing it by giving refunds.

They deserve the backlash. Consumers won with the Sony move

Deliberately held back any console gameplay footage. Pre launch Twitch and youtube streamers were given PC only keys but they were only handed out only if the streamers agreed to not show any in game footage as they were playing the game til launch day. They could only show pre-approved CDProjekt footage, wtf?

Don't know about you but that is downright shady business practice

Consumers didn't win. Sony did that 100% for self interest.

Sony's refund policy is all you need to know about what they feel towards consumers. Why do EA, Activision and Bethesda get away with it? Sony never pulled any of their games. This stinks, I'm not defending the state of Cyberpunk, but man the fact that Sony choose to pull this game after previous broken disasters, something is off. What are Sony's motivations here? To prevent class actions I would say..

Despite your "enthusiasm" for CDPR, it does not load fine on Xbox. No amount of making excuses for the company changes the fact that what happened here was deceitful.

It's funny and I'm glad you pointed that out. People act like Sony had some altruistic motives. Talk to anyone who bought a PSVR in the US. They got screwed by Sony royally as after a couple months Sony released the PSVR 1.2 in Japan which was superior to the PSVR in every way. The only VR system that only does 1080p. Sony has never done anything with the consumer in mind.

This is literally the last time I'm answering you, on any topic, because I'd stop being nice.

Look around here, sure I might be talking "only for me" but everyone else besides you seems to agree.

And, on these last words, I am done with this.
