Suggestion of creating a new Game of Gwent.

Hello, i'm William Montouro and i'm a big fan of The Witcher Serie.

I'm here to present my idea of a new game CD Projekt Red could create for every fan of The Witcher as a standalone game or a DLC (if you guys want, of course).
Here in Brazil and i've detected tons of players that love to play Gwent, me and my friends spend a lot of time getting cards, talking about tactics and the most important, how sadly this game is not multiplayer.
Now that's the important part, i think that you guys should create The Witcher: Gwent War (a name i just invented right now, hehehe) but not focus on getting better decks or buying new cards, the idea is to build your deck with every card you already have and turn the game mostly on tactics, because that's whats matter in this game.
CD Projekt Red should create a version of the game for every platform: PC, Xbox One, PS4, mobile and create a physical edition of the game too.

That's my suggestion, i really loved the work of everyone did in The Witcher 3:Wild Hunt, you guys made a game with a massive cool stuff and i think you guys can go further.

Thank you i hope this come real.

Same here. I would pay for a physical Gwent card game, a standalone online game, or even a dlc online game. PLease make it happen.

Just want to add my voice to those who want a standalone gwent game.
I could do with a simple free app for mobile phones, with minor adaptations.

As for a bigger, proper gwent game, it would definitely have to be redesigned in order to be a good standalone game by itself, something with the proper balance and durability, since, as said before, gwent is a mini-game in The Witcher 3 and it is built accordingly (for instance, the deck-building through quest and NPCs, the fixed number of cards, etc.).
I'd gladly pay for such a game, if the price was reasonable, of course.

And, for the love of God, keep the awesome music! I love the music during gwent. Which is one of the reasons why I'd prefer a digital version. Not to mention that a physical version would probably end up being expensive. Plus, it wouldn't be as easy to fix matches against other people. And no special visual effects and such. And did I mention the awesome music? :)

Yeah, I usually prefer physical version of everything (books are a good example), but, in the case of a gwent game, as cool as an actual physical version would be, digital and online would just be better.

Anyway, if CDPR never ends up doing it, I'll just keep enjoying in the Witcher 3. Amazing game!

A co-op Gwent app would be over achieving.

I agree with all the people here. Definetly a must have game, at least for mobile or even a physical copy. Yet, for now i'm going to print this cards for myself. Anyway ++

I want the physical deck too. I didn't think I'd like Gwent playing as much as i do. (I don't go to bed last night until 3am, because i'm playing Gwent)

Perhaps a good way to do it would be to sync a mobile gwent app to Witcher 3 save game and play with the deck collected in game. You could to be able to choose any of the gwent players you met already as opponents (and earn their award cards ).

I'm certain the game could be made better for standalone use, but for now I'd be happy to have it in any form.

Not a bad idea. Fable did the same thing, back in the 360 era. They released their card mini-game as an Xbox Live arcade title.

Online PETITION: Gwent as stand-alone game or multiplayer feature

Hey everyone. The CD Projekt Red website has forums and there is a section about making Gwent a stand alone game. Problem is, it is more of a discussion then a consensus. So, I created an actual petition to make Gwent either a stand alone game or a multiplayer feature.
Forgive the website as Witcher has nothing to do with it, but I needed a place to house the petition.
If you are in FB gamer groups or a member of other Witcher forums, please repost the link so we can get a lot of action on the petition.

Yea make it a stand alone game. I had no intention of playing the damned thing when TW3 came out and completely ignored it for the first play through, then I gave it a shot the other day and I have played nothing else. Maxed out my decks almost and done with all main Gwent quests(besides collection).

Shame that only Xbox got the Gwent decks.

It is possible that CDPR wasn't expecting such as large positive response about GWENT, now that they are aware of GWENT's popularity, I'm sure they will take another look the possibilities. I really hope for some balancing maybe limit the number of active Hero Cards you can have. I also would not mind a mobile version of GWENT.

It already exists. It is called Magic the Gathering.

The only thing different between Gwent and MTG is Gwent does not have land cards.

Meh, you can make those yourself with a minimum of time and money investment... custom card printing shops are your friend. ;)

...and it's much more complex, with at least 50 special, card specific rules to date. Not sure if Gwent would work a collectible card game, but as a complete game with upgraded rules, it's quite fun.

Gwent on Android/iOS

Apologies if this idea has already been put forth, which wouldn't surprise me at all because it needs to happen so badly that it seems extremely obvious to me.

Basically, the Gwent card game REALLY ought to be developed as a mobile game. It would be really simple to just port over the Gwent game ans leave it at that, but it wouldn't serve any real purpose that way (especially since it would remove the incentive to actually buy The Witcher 3, but there are a few tweaks that can be made.

Ideally, your username would allow you to use only the cards you've collected in-game and if you don't own an in-game deck yet - or perhaps even if you don't even own the game, if you want that broader exposure - you only have access to the same cards that you automatically start out with in-game (which is to say, a rather crappy Northern Realms deck. Also ideally, you can allow people to play each other online so that everybody can match up with others online. And again, to maintain an incentive for purchasing the full game, you can even make it SOLELY online play if you wanted (meaning only with the full Witcher 3 game can you repeatedly play pointless singleplayer "practice" matches over and over).

This REALLY needs to happen, and ought to be so cheap and easy to design and implement that there's really no excuse not to. CDPR, you guys made such a gem of a mini-game that it really deserves to be taken to the next level. It would also be a great bit of high-level marketing using something you guys have already done all the work for.

Please take this humble dream and perfect little digital collecting card game, and make it a reality!!!
