The point is, look at the load of each thread on your 6-core, 6-thread processor. RTX cards are CPU-heavy, and you're still trying to run cyber punk. Have you tried lowering the npc density?

Did you update your Nvidia drivers? Supposedly clean install might help if you didn't do that already.
I'm on 2080ti, 100%GPU utilization and high CPU utilization. But performance is quite poor still. If I want decent frames I basically have to play on all low lol.

No real difference between any of the settings - running medium feels like there is slightly less input lag on the mouse over ultra. Something is amiss

Outside Medium - around 35 FPS - Ultra around the same. Dips occasionally in to the 20's.

Inside I get around 50 - 45 FPS

GPU running near 99%, CPU around 80% on all 4 cores

Win 10 Pro x64 20H2
i5 4690K
Gigabyte 1060 GTX OC 3GB - 460.79 - No Geforce Experience, just Driver.
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
250GB Samsung Evo 840

In some cases lowering some of the settings is the best way to go.

Also, make sure your gpu drivers are updated to the latest version.

Honest question - those Official system requirements. Are they for 60 or 30 fps ? :)

Turning crowd density to low seems to smooth this out a bit - not so many stutters - probably 4FPS increase

I would say: 45 FPS, rather 30 FPS if your PC isn't well optimized.

I'm getting approx 60 FPS in the Street-Kid tutorial with a 2070S at High Settings ; DLSS disabled ; RT disabled.

I didn't test other locations yet. I'm usually a person that aims for stable 120FPS, but it's really playable at 60FPS.
My other settings: Ryzen7 3700x @4.3GHz ; GPU slightly overclocked ; 16gb DDR4 3600mt/s CL15 ; Gsync-monitor

CPU: 3900X
GPU: 3090

I did some temperature testing. My CPU is around 50 C in this game, while my GPU is about 46 C, while in this game.

The temperatures some people are reporting of 100 C are insane!

1080p or 1440p ?
If by tutorial you mean the very beginning and you're not in Night City yet, you should drop considerable frames once you get there.
I'm on 1440p with 2080ti and can't even maintain 60fps on high settings:)

Temperatures has nothing to do with games honestly.
High load will automatically increase temperatures by default.
If temperatures reach almost 100C on CPU or 80C(-ish) on GPU, it's either bad airflow/cooling or their thermal paste is rock solid already. In less likely scenario hardware issues.

100°C on a Ryzen usually happens when PBO is enabled while also manually OC the CPU, often ends up in blowing up the CPU.

I can't move my mouse or joystick (xbox one controller on PC) left or right when I meet npc's only up or down. EX. you meet victor you need to scan him to see if the implant is working i can't move my head to the right or to the left to scan him. (The mouse or controller speeds up and slows down when looking around in the game in left or right. i played with so many setting and used different mouses and controllers and its not me its the game) (I'm a design Engineer Im SMART) anyone else having this issue?

I have exactly the same problem as some of you here. My fps are stuck at 30 fps, no matter what I do. Basically unplayable.

Low, medium, ultra, low crowd doesnt matter, I'm always at 30 fps, only the gpu usage does vary. I find it insane that a 3080 with a 5800x is performing that bad on this game. I'm very disapointed.

Before anybody ask, I have installed the new drivers, I even did a DDU to install them proprely. I updated my windows, disabled v-sync everywhere, uninstalled even some programs considered bad for games (such as razer chroma or MSI afterburner). IT DOESNT CHANGE ANYTHING. Game is still stuck at 30 fps, with 30 to 60% at most of GPU usage. I'm playing both 1440p and 4k.

Something funny : the game starts with 125 fps, but as soon as the intro is gone, the game sets at 30 fps and never changes.

i don't think you can play any modern day game at 1080p with 3 GB of VRAM hahaha
Post automatically merged: Dec 11, 2020

no don't reinstall windows, i doubt it would make a difference, your trying to game on a laptop man

a 5th generation intel cpu and a gtx 960, it looks like your getting ok results considering the old hardware
dude you literally have 2GB of VRAM
My specs are a bit better than that

i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz to 3.60 GHz
32 GB mem
GTX 1060 6 GB dedicated GPU

Wasn't expecting 60 fps, hoped for at least 20-30, actually getting much worse. Nowhere near playable.
