rx580, ryzen 7 3700x, 32gb of higher-speed ram.

Ive noticed an issue akin to a memory leak after a while of playing the game. Menus begin to slow down and sometimes become wholly unresponsive, graphics dont load in properly, and i had to recently alt f4 to get out because i couldnt even access the quit game button in the pause menu. Im not sure if any of this has been patched on 1.04 yet as I just downloaded it, but its definitely an interesting dilema.

Optimize and patch it with updates and then sell substantial expansions to the game.

Exactly like they did with the Witcher 3.

(PC) If this feedback is being noted I just wanted to say. I have a gtx 980ti and decided to return the game due to the performance. The devs need to take a serious look at optimizing the game for having motion blur and all the extra crap turned off. I would hope to hit 80-100 fps with med-high settings to consider the game playable.

I really dont think this should be that hard considering the game isnt even online. it should run very smoothly for a single player experience.

just posting this for the refference because it looks like game is really weird, runs like a charm on my old rig, that was custom put together.
0 crashes in around 24h, not a lot of graphic glitches, maybe some odd box floating few cm above the ground, and the usual minor clothe clipping.

I run the game on default ultra setting, with motion blur and camera grain turned off, i just don't like them.

Only have fraps for recording, this is a 6 person gunfight report, and i can't complain about frame-rates, usually it's solid 100 fps
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg

Installed on regular 3tb toshiba HDD
Intel Optane+233GBSSD (only thing i have that looks like other ppl don't have that could help with game performance)

My fps drops more and more over time.
In the first hour, It's full 60 fps.
Then one hour later, 50 fps, then 40 fps...
And both my cpu and gpu are perfectly fine with only 60°C below, gpu was only using 70%.

My system is 5900x + 3080 + 32G RAM win10

I might have 'figured out' the cause of the horrible performance on some AMD processors. The game isn't using SMT! I was testing performance with SMT on and off with the detailed explanation below.

In the first image (noSMT) we can see that all six cores with SMT off are being utilized fully almost the entire time. In game this resulted in ~95% CPU usage with an average of 31FPS.

In the second image (has only 2 checkmarks) we can see that the game is only using a fraction of the CPU. I forgot to take a screenshot of the other 6 cores and I'm too lazy to go back to check, but the results were very similar. In game the CPU usage was in the low 40s, which is what I (and presumably everyone else) have been getting. The average FPS was the same which only proves my point further.

Patch 1.04 did improve GPU usage significantly. But this is a critical bug that's affecting a enormous amount of the playerbase. The strange thing is that there are some people on 3600x CPUs that are reporting very normal utilization numbers. This must also explain why people on 5000 series and Intel CPUs are getting 60+ FPS, since their individual core performance is much better than zen 1 and 2 CPUs.

Mkay...This is just gonna sound like I'm complaining just to jump on the bitch train but really a lot of what I'm about to say is just plain true. For starters. My computer specs contain an RTX Nvidia 2070 8gb, 16 gb RAM and an I7 9750....When I play the Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, or any graphically intense game I have never had the game breaking issues that this game has provided. I was sure that there'd be issues with this game, just due to the scale of it and the complexity of some of the game mechanics. I've already put about 40 hours in and have suffered the frame rates I've been subjected to because this game is so incredible. ( On the art and gameplay design side. ) Functionality of many of these elements are just on the fritz. Now, I get that game dev is hard. I've tried messing with a bit of it myself on Unreal Engine. But after playing the Witcher 3...I've come to expect a level of quality from CD Projekt Red that this game is falling pretty far from. I am whole heartedly blaming the marketing team because only money could cause the debacle that CyberPunk 2077 is in right now. From the experience I have had so far, it seems to me that this game needed another year, maybe year and a half to be up to par with their usual solid releases. Yet the greed of corps got in the way. Again. I feel really bad for the devs who worked on this game for 7 years including some pretty serious overtime. How the fuck can marketing know when the game is truly ready for the wild when they aren't communicating with the production team how they should? You want money, we get that as gamers. But also, we want quality products. Not something that screams "Yeah, corps rushed the projekt and we lettem fuck us in the arse." You guys are the creators of this stuff....Hell, if you have to, do like Valve does and become a privately held corporation if it's possible. Fuck publishers. They only hinder true talent.

I'm playing CP on console and I would really like to be able to read gear descriptions from my couch.

There is a slider for Subtitle size, which is great. Yet EVERYTHING within the character menus is in a tiny, tiny font. Not everyone plays games one foot away from a computer monitor!

I also have the same problem with configuring RTX3080, 3200 32GB memory on Radeon 5800x, not exceeding 30 fps.
The game is running at less than 30 fps at any resolution and at any preset. This patch 1.04 is also useless. I hope this is resolved soon.

In addition, other games do not have this problem.

No offense but those tips are just like regular nonsenses from dev suggestions. nNt your rig and not my rig are gone wrong but the game itself - they need to patch it, tweeking around our PC's settings wont solve the performance issues.

im kindof feeling ripped off with this game right now, and im very disappointed

Please, just try it. :) Those optimizations changed my 3Dmark Time Spy score from 7000 to 11000.

I believe my computer is under performing. According to the recommended specs spreadsheet that the developers released my computer should be able to run 1440p ultra settings. My expectations is 60+ fps if you have the recommended hardware at the recommended setting.

Computer specifications:
CPU: I7-9700k, 3.6Ghz, 8 cores, 8 threads.
GPU: RTX 2080 (non super version)
RAM: 16 GB
Storage: 2TB 7200OPM

Attempted fixes and improvements:
Updated NVIDIA driver
Made sure I have the latest CPU driver
Checked game file integrity
Closed down all other unnecessary programs

Test Area:
Fast travel point "ALL FOODS PLANT" looking directly towards fast travel point "METRO MED CENTER".
Keep in mind that this area appears to have less traffic and foliage. The location may give better or worse results than other areas.

- All results were taken post day 0 patch
- In all results crowd density was set to "low"

Test results 1440p presets:
Low - 85 FPS
Medium - 69 FPS
High - 56 FPS
Ultra - 48 FPS
Medium RT - 57 FPS (Surprising seems although visual graphics are set equal to the ultra preset, adding medium ray-tracing improves performance?)
Ultra RT - 48 FPS

Test results 1080p presets (post day 0 patch):
Low - 110 FPS
Medium - 91 FPS
High - 75 FPS
Ultra - 65 FPS
Medium RT - 64 FPS (Not an increase in performance when the resolution is lower? Weird, inconsistent results)
Ultra RT - 52 FPS

Worthy mentions:
-Turning on "Reflection raytracing" will cause a major FPS decrease, and seems to be the most "heavy" RT setting. (Not enabled in "RT medium" preset.)
- It appears that changing to "RT medium" preset, then disableing RT, your FPS will drastically improve from the "Ultra preset" despite there being no actual graphic setting changes. At 1440p I got 48 FPS at "Ultra preset", and 57 FPS at "RT medium", then 75 FPS when choosing "RT medium" and disableing RT. Except for the RT setting, all the graphical options are exactly the same across those 3 options, yet we see a huge improvement in FPS when using "RT medium" as our setting reference.

Could someone clarify if this is the sort of performance I can expect for my specs? I am curious if my computer is under performing compared to the specs. Also if anyone know why my FPS goes up when enabling RTX, I am curious to know.
