The real test is public speaking english in front of english people or people who don't speak your native language.

That is pure insanity for introvert people.

I mean you have the whole speech ready in your mind and then...at the crucial point... you're like: "... potato."
*neural collapse*
Or worse. They don't understand you and you have to repeat the sentence. The result is not better: "Yes... potato."

It's not to do with being sociable or not. It's to do with "mental energy" (which is an overbroad term meaning your alertness, willingness, and ability to engage in more mental activity). Extroverts derive mental energy from social contact; introverts expend mental energy to get through times of social contact. What is energizing for an extrovert is an effort for an introvert.

That's a relly interesting explanation, also I'd add that there are times when a person can be introvert (and expend mental energy) and extrovert (and derive mental energy) depending on the occasion, I think.

There are studies where even the mood influencied by temperature or color of the room where you make the test can change the final results

The other dimensions (well, to the extent that the other Myers-Briggs dimensions are worth a pot of beans, anyway) go a long way toward making up for an introvert's difficulty in coming before an audience. Roughly, they correspond to how you know, think, and act. One isn't necessarily better than the other; intuitive thinkers (N) aren't necessarily better equipped than Doubting Thomases (S), or vice versa. What's important is the confidence these abilities give you, to overcome an introvert's natural stage fright.

As a public speaker, you are the authority on what your audience came to hear; as a musician, you are the one who can make beautiful music for them. You made all the mistakes you are going to make in writing, editing, and rehearsal. What you go out there and say, or sing, or play is exactly what you meant and exactly what they want to hear.

Edit: on further reflection, I have to admit the above is a rather strong "P" statement. The difference between J and P types, if it's real, is more important than it's given account for. To oversimplify, "J" (judging) types thrive on predictability, planning, and systematic completion of tasks. They can get lost when things don't go to plan. On the other hand, "P" types thrive on flexibility and make snap decisions that are right often enough to keep them out of trouble; they get bored when forced to follow a plan, and the best ones undermine them while getting the job done anyway.

But I stand by it nonetheless. The way to project confidence is to be confident, because you, like Zaphod Beeblebrox, are the most important person in the Universe. Remember, you are the expert, you are the artist, your audience wants to love you, and all you have to do is let them.

You don't need foreign language to get that as introvert... I still remember some painful speeches in school times *ugh*

I guess I'm more introverted... Even among people I like and want to hang out with I'm quiet for the most part. More of a listener. I'm the type that will gladly accept hugs, but hardly offer them because I don't want to make anyone feel awkward if they're even more introverted than I am... Does that make sense? I like my bubble for the most part, so I don't want to poke at other's. I always feel like I'm bothering people by trying to add them to my friends list or call or text. I wouldn't be surprised if some people think I'm a bit of a misanthrope. I do have my hermit time. Gotta have hermit time every now and again.

Same, but I like poetry:). Maybe you didn't read good poems suited for you. They are not always weird and sometimes really smart.

I took it again today and scored the same thing. I thought maybe I would score differently because I was feeling stressed yesterday but apparently not.

PERSONALITY: Introverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving
VARIANT: Assertive
ROLE: Explorer

Few personality types are as bold and practical as ISTPs. Known for their technical mastery and willingness to improvise, ISTPs are good at finding unique solutions to seemingly impossible challenges. ISTPs' desire to explore and learn new things is invaluable in many areas, including their own personal growth.

If people want to take this to the next level, it would be interesting to take the test from another site and see how your results compare. I took it and scored the exact same thing -- ISTP. But my brother took it and got "Feeling" instead of "Thinking."

I think they mean someone who thinks like a poet. i.e. reflecting on human nature and such. Which is why people who don't like reading poetry can still score INFP. They might like reflecting on the mysteries of life, but they just don't have the gift with language, music, or art to express their reflections in a beautiful way.

Makes sense.
Those customer presentations I was talking about - I ran on adrenaline. During the session, I was on a natural high. Two hours after they ended and the adrenaline burst had gone, I would be in my office asleep, A supposedly less stressful social occasion doesn't set off the adrenaline, which is why I can't handle them.

Lol, personality tests...I used to get so caught up in them as a daily past time to avoid doing work. xD

Can tell you that I am an INTP. Enneagram is 5w4, with the Intimate/Sexual instinct (irony of all ironies because I'm a celibate). Tritype is 5-4-9, most introverted tritype combo. My temperment is phlegmatic but it was once melancholic.
Big five personality test is a really TL; DR to type up detailed results.

Ravenclaw, my Pottermore wand was first exactly the same as Minvera Mcgonagall's--same length, same wandwood, same core-- except it was even more stiff, but after retesting a while back I keep on getting Lupin's wandwood with dragon core (it's disappointing).

The hungarian test side is said that I am a ISTJ, but some of the answers were just black and white so it is not so accurate for me.

I'm INFP, a glorious 4% :victory:. Oh wait, not many understand a drive behind these feelings, so I guess it's time to isolate myself further.

I'm an Introvert, and I've taken that test 3 times over the last 5 years.

The first time I took the test I was an INTP. The next two times (and most recent) I've gotten the INTJ result which is 0.8% of the population.
