To add Triss to expansion packs might be a bit difficult. It would mean that you can only do the expansion pack quest after you finished the Novigrad storyline, and before you begin Kaer Morhen. After that battle she pretty much always has something to do. Before you finish Novigrad, she is inside Novigrad and you have to find her there. It is not realistic for her to travel to far away regions to do quests with you there before the Novigrad quests and after Kaer Morhen. And even after the novigrad storyline and before Kaer Morhen, she is only really available for quests if you make her stay, and do the romance. Otherwise she is in Kovir taking care of mages.
All of this would make the time window to do the quests pretty small.
Maybe when she is in Skellige on the ship they can squeeze in a quest. But that would still make the time that you can do the expansion quests pretty limited.

Although I haven't finished the game or started yet, information on playable epilogue keeps suggesting that it feels 'dead' or set in limbo prior to the final events with most of the notable characters inaccessible. If that is the case, I would rather they make it limbo after the final events, like in Fallout 3. After all, this is the final chapter of Geralt and many players I'm sure, would like to participate in events after the main story such as completing a small contract or fishing with Yen.

Generally, Triss was a more likable character back in the book too. I know CD project RED guys are allways doing it the way they see fit, and we love the result. But some more content towards her would be sweet.
