Hell yeah buddy. Too bad they didnt put any gwent-stuff in there with 1 of the 16 DLC's. And (Ive said this before) its kinda strange that they make us work that hard to get a great deck and then when we're done there's nothing to do with it. Should be tournaments on every map and we should be able to play them over and over.

When you play someone for a rare card, you can just keep playing them over and over again until you get a good draw or go away for a while and collect more cards. Wouldn't it be something if Geralt could bet HIS cards as well? Yikes.

For the longest time I thought you could lose cards. So I saved the game before every match and loaded the game if I lost. Then I read on here that its impossible to lose cards. lol wtf. So yeah you can just play them over and over. But seriously it should not be hard at all.

btw Im playing witcher right now and I think Ill go and enter that high stakes tournament. My deck is fucking awesome
And high stakes opens up a new quest and thats the only way to get that quest

I like Qwent. I Wouldn't miss it.
Well made, nice pastime and fun.

There is also an tournament Quest in novigrad you can miss, if you dont play it.

Btw, As much as I qwent like, i still miss Arm Wrestling and dice poker

Ive never been much on playing "Games" with NPCs - so just how much of an impact does "Playing GWENT or Not Playing GWENT" have on the game itself? Will I regret Not playing Gwent ?

Nope. I played with the guy in White Orchard and never played another game after that. Felt like the only thing I missed out on was the "oh god, not you again" expression on the NPC' face...

I miss arm wrestling too. There's something more satisfying in the physical contests and it always seems Geralt enjoys proving himself.

Not important to finishing the game but you should at least try it

When i played my first ever playtrough i skipped gwent because i didn't understand this xd
But after my second playthrough on DM i started to pay attention to it and finally learned it, it turned out to be easy mini game to learn and its fun, the quests are interesting too

They've made a great game with gwent, you don't have to play it to complete the game but you'll definitely miss a lot of fun ;)
If you're looking to find some stronger cards here's my favorite list I'm working with: http://gwent-cards.com/ , also in the NG+ now.
They also have a nice listing of the gwent quests if you're looking for them.

What I still find hilarious is the fact that in-game people are killing each other for what amounts to rare pokemon cards. I just can't wrap my head around it. Love playing Gwent though.

Gwent is strategy.

It's not that I hate strategy. It's just not me. I never played a single gwent game. I tried two minutes or so and lost interest.

This is what's going on in Geralt's internal monologue before he challenges someone at Gwent

Had all the cards, finished the High Stakes tournament and haven't lost a single game. Then I played against a merchant in Skellige, made a bad draw and did one stupid mistake and got my ass handed to me :D I love it.

Lol me too, I had a perfected northern realms deck, but I couldn't draw any spy, while the other guy was just smashing me.... with scoia'tael no less.

I obliterated him 3 times afterwards just to show him who's really the gwent god here...

:D yeah me too. I smashed him 3 or 4 times after and came back later and smashed him again just to make sure he doesn't get cocky

I love it. Highly addictive. I backed up a save game for fun, before facing the most challenging oponent.

I neglected gwent in my first playthrough, my second time I played it, got into it and now I can't get enough of it. Its really fun to play. Hoping CDPR can make an online gwent to play against other people.
