I remember the first time I played Amnesia, with an uncontrollably shaking hand I opened the door of the bathroom, the whine of rusted hinges shrieked out into the darkness and my eyes flew wide as I looked around in near total panic. Steeling myself I stepped through to be greeted by a visage of horror and the grotesque. I screamed, not the manly bellow of my own voice, but a harsh rattling croak that went on and on. Such horror, such inconceivable wrongness could surely not be born of this good earth, somewhere beyond the light of the stars was this foul entity born.

Then I cleaned off the mirror, had a shave, a wash, brushed me teeth and went downstairs to play Amnesia. Good game.
Sir, you are an evil genius, you nearly killed me. :D

I'll just leave this here

Oh my, speaking as a fan of all things noisy and glitchy this is AWESOME.

I downloaded the current demo and finished it today. I think, at least... got to the
bluescreen crash

Can't wait for the full version.

I also recommend this site for some "exploration" in a similar vein:

Rescued a gem of a game earlier this evening, Too Human. Went to the local GS see if anything caught my eye and there it was. Saw in news awhile back that copies were to be recalled and destroyed. First time I've had an employee there try to stop me from buying something but I freaking loved that game, whether or not majority sees it as garbage.

I just finished the Game of Thrones RPG last night. The gameplay was mediocre and it crashed a lot, but the story was quite interesting. From Chapter 10 onwards it was one gut-punch after another It was very dark and cynical, and captured the atmosphere of the books quite well :D I'm gonna play the prequel DLC mission next.

Edit: That reminds me i've got to stick some wd40 on them hinges and give 'em a buff.

Awesome I need to get back to Amnesia at some point once I've gathered my courage. I bought it near the release date, played for about 15 minutes and thought I was going to have a heart attack so I haven't gotten back to it since then

Too Human is going to be recalled? I bought it awhile back because Silicon Knights made it and I love Blood Omen and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem so I figured I'd like Too Human as well, but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. As long as it's not buggy and/or unplayable for technical reasons I'll probably play through it at least once to give it a fair chance.

Been thinking of getting System Shock 2. I was just curious, is the game scary? I'm not talking Resident Evil scary or anything similar, but does the game have some elements of scariness?

To unlock the hardest difficulty mode in new Metro you have to buy a DLC.

I wouldn't say its scary but it made me feel uncomfortable. Strange noises, someone whispering, lights turning on and off and some strange figures appearing before you can make you jump sometimes.

"Ranger Mode - Experience complete immersion. No HUD. Less bullets. Brutal Combat. Hardcore." is part of day-one DLC that is available for free for people that pre-ordered game.

Thank you. I think that is the right level of scary I need. :)

By the guys behind the awesome Mark of the Ninja! Cool! Shank 2 looks really fun, something to scout for in the summer sales.

I'm jounreying across the lands of the Forgotten Realms setting in Baldur's Gate. I've got to find some wings or something becuase my dwarven legs are not built for walking fast. Kimblar Kettlebelly, a priest of the mighty Pelor! His golden beard shines like a beacon, giving hope amd promise to his comrades. Unfortuanly, we're still at the stage where a wolf is as lethal as a Owlbear.
