Playing without minimap, UI options?

Hi

Good game, having fun, but!

I want to play without the minimap, but without it there is no good way to navigate. Using witcher sense one should be able to see some form of guideline to where im supposed to go, either custom markers placed by me or next quest selected. Something, u know. A subtle marker guiding me in the right direction. Now i have to check the options map every 5 seconds, especially tedious in big towns. Its already alot of going in menu looking at stuff breaking of the flow of gameplay.

Im i missing something, is there a way to play without the minimap, and yet get a form of subtle guidline?

i dont think there is a viable way to navigate without the minimap. you can try and track the sun and assume where the north is but... ugh.... that isnt really functional either.

your idea of having a floating mark when you use witcher sense (and the marker is the toggled quest and the custom marker you place on the map) is great.

Nope. I've been down that road too. Mini map is pretty much needed unless you want to walk around aimlessly. There are quests and things in this game that give you zero indication of where they are or where to go next. I honestly, I played Skyrim without all that junk, but this game needs the mini-map. I am also disappointed witcher senses or other forms of in-game indication don't guide you at all. Just turn mini-map on, and turn all the extra minimap display items off.

It can be done [plugged my thread again lol] and there's a handful of quests that do not need anything. As for quests that seem like you need the minimap think of it another way: exploring. Even if you want to complete that quest or contract desperately you'll find tons of other things you may never of found on your way.
