Please answer: 1.4 patch compatible with digital download version of Witcher

I posted this earlier but the post got removed for some reason.I bought "The Witcher" online and downloaded it (digital download). I have no CD for it.In the past when I've done this on occasion I had to get a special patch from the place I purcahsed - patches from the game maker were geared toward a CD releaseand didn't work correctly with the digital download versions of the game.Can someone tell me if the EE version will work with a digitally downloaded version of the game??Thx!!

maybe you have to redownload the perhaps updated version of the witcher from where you downloaded it if that is possible.if that isn't possible then try and see if the patch works.failing that you're in quite the predicament.this is all assuming the new EE edition is the standard now.

I purchased The Witcher from Direct2Drive and successfully installed the 1.4 patch from sciagnij.pl. I did this using a fresh install of the game without first installing any of the previous patches.

Thanks - I'll give it a try I guess. I have the 1.2 patch installed - I'll try it on top of that first and see what happens.If it doesn't work I'll start with a clean install and patch that.Thanks!!
