Like many people already complaining, I accidentally sold or dismantled some of my iconic weapons thinking, "I have a recipe for this, I'll craft the Epic version later," without realizing the base item is a component in the recipe. This was, unfortunately, not clearly explained.
A simple solution would be to let us craft a basic WHITE QUALITY version of it, that doesn't require the original, and then upgrade it from there!
I would much rather be penalized by having to spend more resources to recraft and upgrade an iconic weapon from scratch, than to lose it completely.
Especially after learning that some iconic weapons fill out your stash wall, which will not NEVER BE COMPLETE FOR ME.
Now I've lost The Black Unicorn, Scalpel, Fenrir, and Wolf Jacket, which I somehow lost almost 80 hours ago and don't recall how. (I may have broken them down, or accidentally sold them. Also; a warning should be added to dismantle or sell iconic items.) And can never get them back.
Thank you for your time.
