You silly person, we all know dwarf women don't exist. Some fans from Russia drew good-looking dwarven ladies
I'm joking of course! Even if they do exist, I doubt they look that good. There's a severe lack of beards in that drawing.Interesting... :hmm:
Everytime someone mentions dwarven women, Pratchett's Discworld comes to my mind - how come there are no dwarven women? There are, you just can't tell for sure, which dwarf is a man and which is a woman, under that beard and armorI'm joking of course! Even if they do exist, I doubt they look that good. There's a severe lack of beards in that drawing.
Sapkowski has never written that she-dwarves have a beards... Yeah, I know that Tolkien's she-dwarves are bearded, but Sapkowski's world isn't Arda.I'm joking of course! Even if they do exist, I doubt they look that good. There's a severe lack of beards in that drawing.
What? What about Eudora? I'm going to that friggin wedding!I really doubt there will be dwarf females in W3
This is one weird ass post...I don't know, how about an option for- only if they compliment the story, otherwise what's the point of having them there.
Being pretty harsh don't you think? All he was getting at was if the devs add in more races, don't just do it so that they can stand back and say "look a chick dwarf" - implement proper expansion of lore, characterization, and sidequests. Which I completely agree with; I've played games that add shallow content for the sheer commodity of including it without it adding anything real to the story. But you don't have to be so awful about disagreeing with someone. This is one weird ass post...
Dwarves are a part of the witcher universe. Them being present in the game would add to the believability of the lore. I'm going to refer y'all to the Shandification video by Mr Bobby the Tongue (I was going to link it but whatever REDs done with the site has fucked up my ability to do so. I don't have any idea how t's done now. Why fix what isn't broken, I don't get it...)
In any case. It'd be kinda like playing a Lord of the Rings game, being in Hobbiton and not seeing a single fucking Hobbit. Or fucking off to Rivendell and there's not an elf in site. From what I understand, the non-human races are common place throughout the Northern Kingdoms and can be found everywhere. So you have to SHOW that, and not TELL us that. Basic screenwriting and storytelling here mate.
If you aim to create a fictional world then you must do everything you can to represent and highlight it through mise-en-scene. Otherwise what's the point in adapting Sapkowskis books, if they don't even give a shit about staying true to the lore. Adding to the story? What the fuck, the Witcher universe IS PART OF THE STORY. Dwarves are already part of the story by being inherently tied to the fictional universe that Geralt occupies in. They're one of the biggest races and play a huge part in the race issue that surround many plots that Geralt has to deal with.
Holy shit, your post is one of the stupidest I've read on here. And that's saying a lot. You don't seem to be cut out to criticise fictional worlds nor competent enough to understand the importance of consistency and validation through representation. This forum really likes talking about graphics. Maybe you should stick to that instead?
Uuuh, Foggy? The post you quoted was from more than six months ago, and the topic isn't about dwarves or elves. This is one weird ass post...
