To me this is the ending of The Witcher saga - a proper send off to Geralt of Rivia on a high note. I'd rather not see another TW game just for the sake of it. I don't want it to become another never ending franchise, but I'm all for a few more expansions to TW3 to make it shine even more.

Another definitive RPG? Well, if you are really unhappy with TW3 I doubt CP77 will turn out a masterpiece you want.

1.- Yes, another. CDPR could make mediocre, good or bad games. I don't care becasue they have prove they can improve TW3

2- I'm very ahhpy with TW3

3- Let me believe that CDPR is able to do my dreams come true.

And please, as my signature says "Take my posts seriously, a smile can be usefull to do it." I know, not easy to understand :p

I find this poll confusing. Are you asking if we would like a new Witcher game instead of the upcoming expansions "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine"? They are already in production and a lot of us, including myself, have already purchased them. So yeah ... I want to see those expansions.

I would, however, also fully support additional games in the series. I love the Witcher universe, and there is still an entire world out there to explore, e.g. Nilfgaard, Kovir, etc. Also, we have only just been introduced to Ciri. I would like to see her character developed in future games, and it would give us a chance to see Geralt and co. again (probably just as cameos, but still).

*Edit: nevermind. Went back and read the OP's post ... makes more sense now hehe. Yes, I want more expansions for The Witcher III, and yes, I want a fourth game as well.

That's kind of how I feel about it as well. I didn't even include Witcher 4 with Geralt because for me his saga has reached its logical conclusion. He's been "killing monsters" for nearly a 100 years, been killed once and basically helped save the world. Give the man his well deserved rest I say! Just like with Commander Shepard there comes a point when you should learn to let go of a character.

But I would love to see lots of expansions for Witcher 3, especially with a young vesemir for some reason.

And I would also love a Witcher 4 game down the road, but not with Geralt. Much as I love him. Maybe as Ciri, or maybe more like an open world game like Skyrim or Dragon Age 1 where you can create your own character. It can be done well and without feeling generic, Dragon Age 1 did it very well I think.

Failing that I'd really, really like to see a remake of Witcher 1 in the Witcher 3 engine. Maybe I should have included it in the poll... oh well.

I'm all for a witcher 4 starring Geralt that takes place before Yennefer or Ciri enter the picture. Geralt is quite old after all.

OR one that stars a player-created witcher, that takes place way before when the monster hunters were still prevalent in the world

I wouldn't want a witcher game that takes place after Wild Hunt; the map became too uninteresting. Miss the good old days where kings were alive and kingdoms were standing. So either go back in time 30 years or so with a new predefined/PC character or keep Geralt's trilogy separate/ignored and start over from where books ended.

I honestly prefer Witcher 4 to be prequel with Geralt, and I don't see why we need a new protagonist.

I'd like to play as a young Geralt who has just left Kaer Morhen and is on the path for the first time. The game's opening should include Visenna bringing Geralt to Kaer Morhen, Geralt's childhood at Kaer Morhen, his relationship with Vesemir, Eskel and Lambert, his Witcher training and trial of grasses. This portion could be the prologue and tutorial. Then we get to play as Geralt who leaves Kaer morhen and goes on the path, and the world opens up. It would also be a good reason to reset Geralt's skills and abilities. I want to see a young and hot headed Geralt take on the world and his journey of becoming the White Wolf. Experiencing the cruel world of the Witcher through his inexperienced eyes for the first time, and how he learns his tough lessons for the first time would make for a very interesting experience.

Yeap i'd like to see more expansion in TW3 like the post end-game content read here:http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/39674-Mega-SPOILERS-Immersion-Destroyer?p=1815876#post1815876 but i'll love to see a new wither game with Ciri as mane protagonist this time cause i really love her character, and maybe with Geralt and Yenn/Triss as cameos cause this is the end of Gerlats story just like in mass effect he need to rest with hes beloved one. So yeah i'd like to see another expansion like post end-game and a Witcher 4 but this time with Ciri. I bought the expansions the problem is that dor now i dont want to play the game cause of the sense of sadness, emptyness and depression that the game left me (and most likely everyone) after the end.

There is no point in making more expansion as long as the main game is still lacking...

Maybe they should concentrate on Cyberpunk instead.

This. And i hope they limit the world to something more manageable this time, because obviously the world has been hurting Witcher 3.

Its time to move on, the rpg genre is flooded with medieval sword & magic games. I love the Witcher franchise and all 3 games, but enough is enough.
CDPR should try something new and fresh, and to be honest guys how many real cyberpunk games in an open world setting are out there?
It always amazes me how people dont get sick of the dungeons and dragons formula. The Witcher 3
is getting 2 expansions, one in October and the last one comes out early 2016. I feel this is enough. So my vote goes
to Cyberpunk 2077 100%. Greetings from Germany

Yeah. Which is why I was just fantasizing about something Ciri did at the end will make magic gradually diminish in the world of the witcher. I never understood the constant need for heavy magic presence in RPGs set in medieval times. Devs/publishers should see that when you ground magic down - behind a giant wall of ice, you get GoT.

Hope Kingdom Come: Deliverance turns out a great game, would certainly change some perspectives.

I've been thinking the same thing.

Whether or not Witcher 4 ever gets made is up for debate, but if it gets made and if you want to make it a continuation of the current story line there's a great opportunity now to change what type of powers Ciri have and how prevailing magic is in the world.

I dont understand why some people are so contrary to a new expansion that will focus more on the post end-game with all characters together and to a Witcher 4 maybe with Ciri cause from my point of view it wont be the same game. The Witcher has a fantastic world and story so a new Witcher will be like a total different game with a new story, new world(and old world) new and old characters(Ciri as the protagonista). For now i think that should concentrate on Witcher 3 shamefull post end-game and the other two expansions.

Definitely option 4. They should take a break from the whole Witcher series & concentrate on Cyberpunk 2077.

All for lots and lots of games based in the witcher universe. I really like the young novice Geralt idea.

I like to see expansions throughout this generation of consoles.

I really think CDPR should give the series a break until they can really innovate and give us something we haven't seen, which is impossible with the current tech out there since they've taken advantage of it already. So I'd say the next Witcher should come out on next generation of consoles and PC in 6-8 years.

I'm strongly against Ciri as the protagonist, because she'd change the whole premise of a Witcher game. Witcher games are about mutated outcasts not overpowered elderblood space and time traveler. Plus Witcher 3 really finished the story arc for both Geralt and Ciri, and there is no need to move forward with either Geralt or Ciri.

So a prequel with a young and novice Geralt to me is the way to go. Geralt is now the face of the Witcher series, and most players like him. If it ain't broke don't fix it, so no need to swap Geralt for anyone else. Playing a Witcher game without Geralt is like playing Tomb Raider without Lara Croft or Max Payne without Max Payne or Batman without Batman.

Even though I love TW3 so much, and expansions would be a very very very very very... great thing. I'm really curious and is having a good amount of expectation for Cyberpunk. So Cyberpunk it is, and expansions comes after that, shortly, if possible, please.

Sadly, the way the game ended
no one near and dear to you left to interact with
I don't want to finish what quests I have left, much less buy an expansion to do more quests I don't care about. Once the immersion is/was done, the game ended for me. Another play through, yes. Can't see buying more content unless it contains those close to Geralt though.
