You can see the heels here: http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/31336-The-Witcher-Cosplay-Guide-Ciri

I don't really care about them *shrug*

Left-hand one looks good, like a deep scar that was well treated and had several years to heal.

Left picture is basically CDP's version. I prefer right picture.

The right hand one looks like an actual cut that's still bleeding a bit..

Left one has a properly old look. Can't say I've seen people who had a blade slash their face, but I think the right one is a bit too jagged for it.

Cirilla's scar is not vanishing. And In the book it says precisely that it is ugly and not the same as a little scratch shown on the screenshots. Considering that Ciri is a sorceress, means that even a magic has no power to remove her big and ugly scar. For example, Triss couldn't ether get rid of her scar on her chest.

I'm not so sure that Triss's scar is physical. I read it more that like Yennefer she has psychological scars from being maimed at Sodden... more so for Triss because she 'died' and is memoralised on the monument (actually "just" seriously injured and not recognised because she had lost all her hair among other issues)... and as she regained conciousness she was still lying in the corpse of one sorcerer while the dismembered trunk of another died screaming alongside her.

The magic used to heal her left her a permanent reminder in it's sensitisation ~ she is now allergic to magical treatments.

I think, that based on what I have read so far that both Yennefer (with her staring at the landscape *just because she can* (now)), and Triss with her covering the wound-site are not physical, but rather emotional and psychological reactions to their trauma and recovery.

No, that's not the case at all. She's allergic to magical potions. And that's all she's allergic too. It also had nothing to do with the healing of her Sodden wounds (bolding mine):
“I’m allergic!” she sobbed with helpless exasperation and despairing anger. “I always have been! I can’t tolerate elixirs! I can treat others with them but can only treat myself with amulets.”

I don't know how this "Triss is allergic to all magic" thing got started.

Fair enough, misread that, but I still think the scars are mental.

love this gameplay

but CDPR you need to shorten these heels yo! Ciri isn't some sorceress she's also a swordsman and what's most important to a swordsman is footwork!

I dare you guys to ask Maciej Kwiatkowski (master swordsman mo-cap dude) if that shit is practical![/quote[

I can't think of anything but decorative cowgirl boots when I look at them.

Riding heels actually used be fairly high, compared to modern ones, but hers are still well into the silly range.

Riding a horse is one thing but for Ciri, the most important thing is fighting. And I just can't imagine her fighting in those. Even normal swords fighting style would be difficult in such high heels (probably impossible) but witcher style? Plain and simple - that can't happen.
So RED's - you still have time, do something with that. Please.

It seems like a bad joke... Ciri is supposed to be escaping from XXX with those disturbing high-heels on... it makes no sense at all. CD Projekt RED, please, I hope it was just a joke... It made me laugh when I saw it but I won't like these high-heels to be in the final product. It is awful.

Ciri and any intelligent being would take those boots off to run faster.
Come on, CD Projekt RED... No high-heels for Ciri.
In fact, not wearing any footwear would be even more practical to run or escape from someone.

It's pretty obvious that you don't know this character, and don't care about her personality or abilities, and you just see her as a piece of eyecandy. Just like everyone else new to the franchise will see her if the high heels stay.

That's how I imagine Ciri travelling with those heels

I find it funny that everyone is complaining more about few centimeters of her heels instead of her hair's color. For me, that's far more important lore-wise. I mean, when playing I'll look far more often to her face than her feet.

EDIT: I've been informed Ciri's ashen grey hair makes complete sense story-wise, nothing to complain then.
