Portable Radio audio randomly cut out

+
There is an issue where portable radio audio randomly cut out while exploring.

It drives me crazy when I'm listening to music and it suddenly stops for no reason.

Does anyone else have this?

I'm curious if that's just me. Let me know.

It happened to me a couple times yesterday when I was walking around. Apparently, I kept coming into contact with traces of a previous quest, that would automatically turn off your radio so you can pay attention to the event occurring near you. Basically to give you a heads up. But despite the fact that the quest in question was already accomplished, the radio will still correspond to it and turn off and then back on automatically. Sometimes in very erratic patterns depending on where i move about.

It also sometimes happens around specific outdoor food sellers, even if you do not stop at their hut. This is the first time I experienced it after 300+ hours in. It was happening specifically in Japantown for me. Just one play-through. After i played again later in the day, I no longer experienced it. So i'm guessing its a small bug.

Ohhh you have a different problem. Mine actually makes the sound when the radio turns off. That clicky eject noise before the music turns off. Your bug is literally chopping up your track. Have you already tried verifying the integrity of your files just to make sure nothing is corrupted?

I tried everything and nothing. Other players have also reported this problem.

This is actually now starting to happen to me. lol Just as you described it. I think something may be corrupted with my game files, so I'll be reinstalling it sometime next week, when I have a chance to sit and test. Hope this gets patched up later.

We should report it to CDPR as soon as possible.

Yes, unfortunately ((

Been having the same issue on my current playthrough its very annoying.. i missing all the good songs  so still no fix for it.. Mine is doing both the choppy like when you have a bad connection and the randomly stopping or it will keep playing just on mute for no reason when my audio is all the way up like its picking up from a random radio that im passing it infuriating!😭

Have you tried starting a new game with a new save file?

I’m having the same issue where the radio just turns on and off randomly. It stays on while in the car but that’s it. Infuriating to say the least since the soundtrack is sooo good. Really hope a patch comes out or a way to fix this. Just wanted to add to the thread.

As always, can we confirm that this happens on a completely unmodded game -- 100% vanilla CP2077 right from the beginning of the game. Keep in mind that if a game is modded now, or if it has ever been modded in the past, that will create outside reference data in the save state that cannot be removed and may be affecting the game in weird ways.

I'm been having the same problem since they introduced the radio while walking and it still happens to me even after patch 2.2. i hope they can get it fixed or something because its really annoying.

I reported this to CDPR and the email i got was to verify the files. its funny because i just reinstalled the game and they wanted me to verify the files so me verifying the files isn't going to fix it it something that has to do with the game itself.

Yes it can, sometimes, if something during the installation goes wrong ;)
Even if it doesn't fix your issue, you're sure everything is where it should be and your game installation is fine.

Also happens to me.

I've now resorted to just keeping the personal radio off and just listening to it in the car as it never cuts out in vehicles.
