Possible achievement bugs fix

Hi all,

I just want to share a possible achievement bug fix.

I had many saves (~150 with auto saves and checkpoints) and I finished the game on patch 1.07 (had only a few achievements left to complete).
Of course they didn't pop up...

So after 1.08 came up I loaded an older save to try and do it. Didn't work. Tried a few times, nothing.

Ten I noticed the CONTINUE button on the main menu and decided to delete all saves except the one I want and select continue instead of load save.
MAKE SURE you backup your saves first. I did

I had finished all the quests before and was left with only the main story line when I had to fight WH and his minions.
So I left only that save in the saves folder, I then entered the game and selected continue, finished the game again (to the end - got the "end story") and the exit... And voila:

I got all the achievements I should for completing the game in death march. I still have a few achievements left like Master Marksman and a few more, and I'll try to get them and will get back with feedback if the continue button is to blame or not.

This means that you still have to do the quests again and so on, but at least you achievement will pop up...

Update: seems not all the achievements work... I tried to do Geralt the Profestional and loaded a game with 5 contracts, finished them all (28 contracts in total) and achievement didn't pop.

Also Master Marksman I think I did enough before, got another 6-7 headshots (good ones, screen did tilt) and nothing...

I'm starting to be a bit disappointed... i got 90% achiv and i can't get the rest

I had 10 achievements left in 1.07 and I got 8 of them in 1.08 (all achievements that technically could be completed at any time though). I can confirm that at least the achievements achieved in August as listed here: http://steamcommunity.com/id/0WN4GE/stats/292030/achievements/ are achievable in 1.08.

The Master Marksman was problematic. I ended up killing 209 foes in the Devi's Pit all of whom I thought I killed using a headshot (yellow critical text + screen shake + one shot one killed). After two hours of using axii to stun bandits and headshot them point blank I finally got the achievement. I found that aiming at the lower right side of the face, just above the neck works best.

You can use the lowest difficulty setting to finish most trivial achievements. Do this post-game if you play on hard or insane to not break that achievement.
