Sorry guys, false alarm. I did forgot to reinstall Virtu.
Obviously after reinstalling it the problem did present itself again...
I'll toy around with Tommy's fix and see if it works.

Good for you Petty, just goes to show that a little inner listening can go a long way, and as for the Player = win and cd red = fail, that in my mind is uncalled for.. the developers give us a great update and now we think they owe us a solution, surely we too can help each other out here and find solutions between ourselves as well..
The game worked for me not necessarily using Petty's fix, which failed for me.. just installed to version 2.0 then the EE version update and next thing I know It was running.. then had a system crash and had to resort to my back up as I had just done a reformat, and put win 7 back on again ... whadda day it's been

Actually I read your post, the thing is many users will get your *fix* first and never read the text, and then come back here and complain that this and that won't work any more and we forum volunteers ( yeah only the guys with CDP red text under their name are official ) will bang our heads against they're always short details. 'cause like you know, you had a disclaimer, right? How About some responsibility first?Petty said:

I understand your point, Licaon_Kter, but I can not be responsible for what other users do. If they don't read the text then it is their mistake, not mine. But if this is causing trouble for moderators or CD Projekt then why don't you just remove this thread? That is your responsability, right? My intention was to help but if this is causing problems then in the first place I sincerely apologize and say I'm very sorry. In second place I ask you to remove this thread. If you are going to make me responsible for what other people do or for causing trouble then I cannot accept such responsability and I would say that you are responsible for not removing my thread since day 1.
So if you or any moderator is reading this please remove this thread.
This would of been closed on day 1 if blah blah virus and such, but, if it helps users it's ok, I only want you and the users to know how things are when one chooses to use a non-CDP file.

^This. I don't give a damn about the EE being free given at present the game is still broken since the 2.1 patch. It's all well a good that the garage wash and valet your car for gratis, but if the car doesn't run then it still needs fixing.link1264 said:
