As specified by OP, this fix does not work with Steam version. If you want to fix your game, check post #13 in this thread http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2656113 on Steam forums.jedinorth said:i tried this fix on my steam version.
was previously getting a runtime error after the wolfshead, now im getting a axis_client.dll file missing error.
anyone else run into this?
Actually I read your post, the thing is many users will get your *fix* first and never read the text, and then come back here and complain that this and that won't work any more and we forum volunteers ( yeah only the guys with CDP red text under their name are official ) will bang our heads against they're always short details. 'cause like you know, you had a disclaimer, right? How About some responsibility first?Petty said:I think you have not read my first post properly. You should read it again carefully.
Please tell them, we moderators don't have such powers. but you the client have, the more reports the better: http://en.thewitcher.com/support/ > scroll to "Still nothing? CONTACT US" and make a big detailed report! GO!!!!!Petty said:How about the devs fix this issue then?
I understand your point, Licaon_Kter, but I can not be responsible for what other users do. If they don't read the text then it is their mistake, not mine. But if this is causing trouble for moderators or CD Projekt then why don't you just remove this thread? That is your responsability, right? Removing the thread and sending me a PM explaining the reasons would have been more than enough. In my first post it also says:LicaonKter said:Actually I read your post, the thing is many users will get your *fix* first and never read the text, and then come back here and complain that this and that won't work any more and we forum volunteers ( yeah only the guys with CDP red text under their name are official ) will bang our heads against they're always short details. I'm sorry english is not my main language, can you explain it to me? I don't want any trouble.LicaonKter said:You did not understand.
Thank you very much Licaon_Kter, yes it is good that a moderator clarify that point. Sometimes I'm very susceptible and I can misunderstand things. Now I have the feeling that I have been bothering you (and others) with my "blah blah". I'm sorry, it won't happen again.LicaonKter said:This would of been closed on day 1 if blah blah virus and such, but, if it helps users it's ok, I only want you and the users to know how things are when one chooses to use a non-CDP file.
That's because they do owe us a solution to a problem that prevents the game that we paid for from working.wolfkhan said:the developers give us a great update and now we think they owe us a solution
^This. I don't give a damn about the EE being free given at present the game is still broken since the 2.1 patch. It's all well a good that the garage wash and valet your car for gratis, but if the car doesn't run then it still needs fixing.link1264 said:That's because they do owe us a solution to a problem that prevents the game that we payed for from working.
Sure, I think this one will work: http://www.ziddu.com/download/19226689/TW2EE_Fix.rar.htmlKadayi said:^This. OP can you upload the files to different hosts BTW? Deposit files or filefactory don't seem to work for me

Works perfectly for me (using Win XP).
