If it was a blue/red filter, then I would vote for it.
I just don't like the green filters.

Over here we only have legal brothels in Nevada so they would of course be "dolled up".

What I was trying to point out is that there are people who will pay even an unkempt, outright gross woman for sex. Usually because they can’t afford any other. That you don’t find those in brothels though should be obvious ...

Well, it's no filter for me.

Hm, difficult. It reminds of the Deus Ex:HR gold filter discussion. Without it, it looks more "realistic" but it looses some of its atmosphere.
So I say if it enhances the atmosphere of the overall setting, go with the green filter.

It's not the question of dirty/ ugly prostitutes and clean and not ugly prostitutes, but this is question of green prostitutes and prostitutes that look natural (not green prostitutes).

Well that an easy decision for me I like picture with green filter, actually I prefer any filter over original look. Even if the game won't have it I'll add one myself like I always do

Oh and I believe I use almost the same filter for Skyrim now.

You've got to be prepared for the fact some are going to go with the green prostitute.

I think I'd prefer the one without the filter (or, with the filter to remove the original filter), it looks more natural and I personally hate those stupid 'filter switches' you get if you want different filters in different areas; Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood did that particularly badly.

Still, I'd like to see full resolution screenshots to really judge.

How did we changed the subject from color filters to ugly prostitutes?

Ugly prostitutes are the main essence of The Witcher 2. I really expect CD Projekt RED will improve female designs, specially prostitutes... They should watch Game of Thrones serie. That's how I like it.

Yep, not in brothels. That was my point. And I do not want green prostitutes. Little (or large) green women are such a turn-off...

We can go to Brokilon for green prostitutes.

Without filter. In RL colors are not balanced, there's not a forced balance but each element has a glow, reflection and totally different tone. It thus allows the brain quickly distinguish the environment. A cloud illuminated with green light is quite unrealistic, unless you want to give the feeling of mustiness in the whole environment.

"filters" exists in the real world aswell, its called lightning. The same irl scene will look drasticly different in different lightning contidions. I mean just take a stroll downtown at midday in sunlight vs the neonlights in the eavning.

OT: The green filter makes a pretty picture but i wouldnt wanna play the whole game like that. Its to "in your face"

obviously, but just tell me a real exterior scene with a green filter, (and underseas are out, of course). The spectrum of sunlight prevents us from seeing green where the surface does not reflect the wavelength comprising the green, earth atmosphere include.

I wasnt saying everything being green is a normal lightning condition irl. just that using colorfilters doesnt have to be "unrealistic".

Anyways to answear your question a dense forest or great fields of green would create a green tint on the surroundings. Also northen lights and ofc Wildfire ;P

I don't like the green filter, not at all.

Reflected green light would not create a green base on the clouds. If anything, it creates the opposite effect due to simultaneous contrast.

The example of a green filter is grossly overdone and fails to prove that it has any value. A more subtle example might be more useful.

Show me a Constable with green clouds and I will concede the point. Until then, I will:

Note that green filters are not used in photography except in unusual cases where a single-axis color system (or black-and-white) is intended for a particular purpose (or color separation is required).

Agree with Wichat that a green filter is unnatural;

Go further and say that deliberately dulling colors in this amateurish manner has no place in games that aspire to art.
