Something I happend to run into a few months ago on youtube... and I normally don't like music sung in Swedish even though I am a Swede (so yeah... it won't make sence for most of you lyrics-wise :p )... it was all just so bizarre that it became good to me...

Whoah, that's some odd stuff. The weird juggalo/kiss makeup is mildly confronting to say the least, sepecially when combined with crossdressing and gumboot-singing...

Heh... yeah... and the lyrics are funny to. Their aim has always been to be as silly, ridiculous and absurd as possible... and to some extence... or compleatly... offensive as well. XD

So... what have I been listening to today then? Well... how about some Clawfinger? :D

They formed in 1989, their music is in general in the Rap Metal and Industrial Metal branches of Metal. From wiki: "Clawfinger is known for aggressive but melodic music and tackling political and anti-racist themes in their songs." So one could basicly argue that they where Rage Against The Machine befor (not to mention during and after to) RATM was RATM... XD Just not as popular unfortunatly.

Unfortunatly I found out today that they disbanded about a month ago ( :( ), after having been together for about 24 years... and me having listened to them for the last 18 years. So I have been listening through a lot of their music again.

To many to choice from to show here... so I just picked my favorit (the first one), and 2 of the "oldies", plus 2 of the "newer" stuff (Recipe For Hate is 10 years old already)... XD

I delibratly left out one specific song though, one of their most known songs... mostly because a lot/most people would take it the wrong way. Especially if they do not know that the band is anti-racist... and because most people forget to read lyrics befor they judge. I almost instantly stopped listening to the group back in 95, due to seeing the name of one of the song on the cd when I went to buy it. But I decided to give it a chance and asked to listen to the song in the store, which was a good thing since it turned out the song actually has a good message. If you really want to hear that one it's not hard to find, and you would know instantly which one it is when you see the title of it (single word repeated 3 times as a title)... I just won't say the name here. It's actually one of their 3 oldest songs.

How about some obscure, late 80's to early 00's, Swedish, Star Trek inspired (mostly), Electro-Industrial Synthpop? :D

I give you:

S.P.O.C.K

Short for: "Star Pilot On Channel K"... since they found out that naming them selves "Spock" would have cost them a fortune. :p

I don't know if they have made any new songs since 2001 (only released a compilation album since, in 2012 named "Another Piece of the Action"). But they still play loads and loads of gigs though, so still going strong after 25 years. :) I saw them live one time, in my town, in the late 90's. :) It was in a really really small venue (at the local culture house), there was probably no more then about 100 people that could fit in to the room. XD

Like always I have a really hard time just choosing one song... but I will try and keep the numbers low (yeah... right... like I even belive that my self :p). ;)

Never Trust a Klingon:

Here is an alternative version of the above song, it's the original version I belive (had a hard time choosing which version to video link... since I like both versions):
