1- while im not sure if this is normal or a problem since no one seems to tell me anything in this forum i will share it with you perhaps ill get some response towards this, ive been getting really high cpu usage with this game people says that is because its a demanding game and i believe thats true, it spikes to 100% cpu usage although the cpu temperature goes around 50-60 to a max of 68 so far, the gpu temperature max is 70 i believe, people say thats okay but im not a profesional so, either way my problem is that i wanna be sure i can run this game without worries that it might ruin my computer, my processor or something, its 1 month new computer.
and just a plus of issue, i do have a problem with msi afterburner/rivatuner program, i cannot CANNOT! get to show osd in the game AT ALL the only way i can see the stats its by manually going to the program and see the monitoring myself from it, it works in the witcher 2, maplestory, star wars tor, no problem at all it just happens that i cant get it to work with this game at all.

2-3 - pc specs:
windows 8.1 pro
asus gtx 750 ti oc 2gb (havent overclocked it)
i5 4590 3.3 ghz (havent overclocked it) (stock cooler)
mem ram 8gb
hitachi 500 gb hd.
motherboard asus b85m-e/csm
power supply evga 500 watts
case cooler master 430 black elite.

4- it usually happens when im exploring although i cant be sure if it happens while being in town as well but it does reach high cpu usage either way, not like when i used to play the witcher 2 i think the cpu usage was never above 60 max 70 so to speak, if not less im not sure on that one.

hopefully i will get some answers and solutions too, thank you for your time.

ive played witcher 3 for about 15hours but the game had gone from plays well to bsod my pc every 5 minutes i played it i couldnt fix this anyway i managed to play about 3-6 hours today by reverting my nvida drivers back to 350.12 it fixed the bsod completely but then i had the dreaded

"Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered"

anyone know how to stop this im sick of this stuff happening
btw all my other games run without flaw or crash

fresh install windows 7 x64 bit

Game shutting down

Ok i give up.. I have spent hours trying to find a solution and done everything short of buying a new system, and I am still having the same issue a crash to desk top at the same place every time.. It is during the cut scene where you are the sword instructor and she points and tells you wood first I must measure your worth, Geralt takes a step you see his boots and then CTD.. I can not advance in the game. I play for 48 hours and no issues then this..
Here are my system stats..
4.00 gigahertz Intel Core i7-4790K
32 gigs of Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 (2x) SLI
Samsung SMS23A350H

Hi
the Empty Coop quest from the old lady, who has got chickens stolen. I forgot about the quest until I ran into the kids. I'm supposed to convince her. The problem is when I talk to the old lady I don't get dialogue options, just the phrases thats you get from random NPC's.

And in Novigrad: closed city
I was doing another mission when I found this, inside the woman's house where two witch hunters was wating for me, I beat them and left the house, however forgot to talk to the woman, now the house is locked and the mission is locked in the tab of secondary missions, however with no additional detail.

4- it usually happens when im exploring although i cant be sure if it happens while being in town as well but it does reach high cpu usage either way, not like when i used to play the witcher 2 i think the cpu usage was never above 60 max 70 so to speak, if not less im not sure on that one.

update:

i had to cap to 42 fps with tweaked configuration high/med/low and some postprocessing off like blur for the cpu usage to get lower , it rarely reaches 90 and it usually is around 60-70 ish although in certain areas is around 70 to 80ish with more npc around and efffects on the area, i havent been there on a castle with lots of npc or a huge town yet so im afraid im gonna reach higher cpu usage in those places.. im starting to believe i shouldnt be able to get this high cpu usage, btw the cpu temps are always around 57 - 60 and max of 68 perhaps, gpu temp usually is around 60-ish max temp 72ºc although raising the fan speed at 70% it gets lower but still a bit hot after a long time period of playing say 3 hours perhaps? anyways, im not sure if this charts are fine or what, so you guys tell me.

I manage to make the potion White Frost, then White Frost upgraded, then White Frost again.

Now I have both White Frost (upgraded) and White Frost (ordinary) in my inventory.

Not sure if I'm supposed to have both.

Sound stutter...

When i start the game its mostly ok, but 1 min. gaming and sound starts to stutter. Its like sound goes slowly to slow motion (deep woises...) and someone is playing whit pause/play button. More i play the wors it gets. Restarting game and another ~1 min. good gametime. When i set Witcher 3 to run on 1 core (windows task manager - Set affinity) sound is ok but game runs too slow :)

I do wonder what's the best place and method to post my issues? Directly and all of it or a separate thread for each bug? I'll start with a short list here on the main issues.

I mean i too have CTD when reloading old saves or sometimes at cutsceenes. But this and some others are listed for 1.05 so i'm about to wait here.
Some of them might wil be solved with 1.05 as it's unclear what will be final changelog and which NPCs some bugfix referes to. And I do have another language - not sure if i'll be able to name the title correctly.

On the crashes i might want to report: "Crash reason: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (3221225477), Error reading location 0x00000000" - well 3221225477 seems to be always the one while location sometimes changes (0x00000008, 0xe8b670ff, 0x00000010)

So i play on PC, Game installed using Gog Galaxy, Patch 1.04, DLC 1/2 installed when i first discovered it, now all 6. PC is custom built with i5 3740s, GTX980 before 352.86, now 353.06, 8GB, WIndows 7.

- I can't move on in the game as all side/witcher/chest-quest are more-less done (witcher-quests are removed from open quests, no ? on any map) and at the main quest (Last Preparations?) where i have to help Yennifer and enter some fountain - well as soon as i talk to her the optional part about Zoltan becomes a fail either it is marked done, but okay, optional. Yet as soon as I enter the fountain the HUD or better any overlay get's disabled (including Game/Pause Menue and any derivat of it). First i thought it might be some game feature, but not beeing able to at least quit the game (if you don't know it's Esc\Up\Enter\Enter) doesn't let me think so. Further the only thing that works is witcher-vision, so i can see highlights but when it comes to chests not what is in it (and can't remove/sell stuff cause i can't see Inventory).
- Further other quests are broken too: 2 Side-Quests with Triss (about the figure hiding someone inside) poped up again either it was finished and i can't talk to her about that.
- 2 Chest-Quests haven't been set completed either i did everything in the quest: Griffin-Armor? Part 1 and Cat-Armor? Part 3. For Griffin the Steelblade f.e. is to be found either directly under it is stated that i already found the scheme (and i can craft it).
- Going On - might be related i can't find 1 part of each set (Griffin Part 3, Cat Part 2, Bear Part 3) I know Griffin Part 3 f.e. a map should be able to be sold at the weapon-master in novigrad and reveals some part at Skellige but that isnt the case. Well i bought some Part 4 map from him as well as some Skellige Maps, but a quest for griffin part 3 is still missing so i just can craft to lvl 2 either i have already fully found part 4.
- Some Quests Couldn't be competed resp. failed cause they are buggy. 3 in Total currently, last one ... "Flying Fists: Master of Masters"? What ever way i loose or win - the game crashes and the quest gets failed (i mean fail to either loose or not a fight - there are just these 2 options logically)).
- I see some characters that might lead to some quest (yellow exclamation mark) yet I can't interact with them. This might be solved with 1.05?
- I can't open some remaining chests and visit some caves - not sure if i might missed some keys but there couldn't be any found in a wide area nearby that i checked and as i wrote - i have visited every place (that's possible to visit currently, there might be some place i can just visit following the story (what is not an option currently) but i think I am pretty much at the end?)

Okay i know some descriptions aren't detailed enough, but it's just a rough overview of what i can remember. I'd be happy to provide more information if necessary if i know what and where.

PC Problem:

I've stucked on/in the fence, after a jump with Roach. :) And Roach just stand still, i can't get off from him or something else, just load the last saved game solve the problem.

And!

In Hungarian language, in the crafting we have "Hatékonyabb Hiúz Páncél" as first upgrade of "Macska Páncél", so my problem is the name aren't the same... is like i said in english the Enhanced Lynx Armor as upgrade of Feline Armor. It's not too obvious, the lynx isn't same to the feline. So the "Hiúz" must be changed to "Macska".
I hope that explanation was understandable. :ermm:

And!

I don't know why, but when i want to change the game into fullscreen mode, i must wait 4 minutes to have a result and backwards too, if the game in fullscreen mode and i want to change back to borderless window or window i must wait 4 minutes again.

I finally got my keybindings playable, so I'm a little late to the party here. When diving for the Buckthorn in The Beast of Shite (sorry, mean 'White' - that really was a typo) Orchard, I started crashing to the desktop. This now happens within probably 30 seconds of starting up again, every time.

So far about fifteen crashes before I can get far away; seems to happen at exactly the same 'line' across the river, whether I'm in the river or on the banks, as if I can't cross that imaginary line. I'm out of the water, at least, but I'm probably going to have to go back to my previous save after I've tried going the long way around (again). Anyway:

Hello,

I play block 4213x1764 30 fps ultra everything thoroughly.

My config:
overclock i7 3960k at 4ghz
samsung ssd 840
MSI Big Bang II power
Titan x + 570 for physx
16Go critical in 2900mhz.

The big problem is mainly collisions with all the elements in the game, I saw pass the branches of a tree in a home.
Or I saw in the mission with the mage hunter, head Triss pass through the back of a guard escort. The worst is still sometimes there are objects décord that passes through the NPC.

Also in the collision there Gerald and his armor in some kinematics is the really ugly I bear all the improved password gerald head kinematics through the top.
Not to mention the Hair I tried with and without hairwork. Theresome times in cinematic or textures bring a visible time to load.
For decrease framerate in cinematic I see that it's for the next patch.

A patch with DX12 and better antialiasing there some place above the medallion gerald or swords and crossbow is not great. I
think some plant textures could be a hair better now, wheat is not really top the impresion was that there is no normal map dessu is all flat.

I've been playing since day 2 and nothing ever went wrong. Only after I downloaded the patch a while ago when i click Play and the game would go into a black screen popping up a windows says the witcher 3 stopped working and that's that. I checked the integrity of local files, nothing wrong w/ dat, so i rebooted my computer hoping it's something related to my hard ware since i dont shut it off dat often, doesnt work. I'm in a puurrty awkward situation now, should i just reinstall the whole game?

Interior map stops working randomly. I only see an empty, yellowish nothing, where the local minimap should be. Can't say what triggers the issue, maybe loading a savegame? It happens everytime in a gaming session, sometimes only after couple of minutes.
My system: i5 4670k @ 4.0 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, nVidia Geforce GTX 660 SLI, Windows 7 Pro x64.
Changing any settings doesn't solve the problem. Issue is still present after patch 1.05!

I was not able to find here anything about this issue reported, so here we go:

When opening a looting window when picking up objects, the mouse cursor is automatically positioned slightly at the bottom highlighted edge of the first item. When there are more objects, pressing the E key for the second time does nothing, it works at 3rd press of E key. This is obviously because of the enlarging looting window in previous patches, but the mouse cursor stays at the previous position of smaller window - which was good at the time. As I don't want to pick up automatically all objects when looting, I'm not using Space key for Take All function. Rather I'm pressing repeatidly E key for every object - it feels more satisfactory and you can check what you are picking. It is playable, but for looters like me, it gets annoying when running on fields and trying to pick up as much herbs as possible or looting barrels, etc.

Would it be possible to move the position of the cursor in the middle of the first picking object? This way it should not be lost on the highlighted edge after the first pick, and second press of E key should be working good then.

- The issue started appearing after enlarging loot window.
- Using Czech subtitles in the game.
- I can confirm, the issue is still present in patch 1.05.

1. During the Pyres of Novigrad quest if you leave Novigrad during the "follow the thief" or "talk to the beggars" option for whatever reason, no NPCs will lead you to the Putrid Grove and no Beggar NPC will give you proper interaction options (i.e; they only say generic responses such as "Crikey!" "Just a nibble" but no quest options) which makes the quest impossible to complete/continue.

Hello

I would like to report a bug where the game suddenly closes on it's own.The sound can be heard for a few seconds, then the game exits. More frequent closer to loading the game. This has happened with both the 353 and 352 nvidia drivers. Happens often.
