Potentially useful info for devs regarding PS5 crashes (1.05)

Hello everyone and Merry Xmas to you!

On to the topic at hand. As you all are aware even with latest patch 1.05 the game crashes very often on PS5 and for the same exact reasons. At least from my experience.

Thing is I really am now accustomed so much to these crashes, that I can literally predict the game is about to crash 10 seconds or so, before it does. I can also crash the game on demand, although that takes time, see below. I will post my experience so that perhaps devs can be helped to understand the reasons behind this, pinpoint the cause of the problem and eventually, hopefully fix it once and for all.

Here is what happens with my game almost every single time it crashes:

I start playing the game on PS5. The game runs normally, with very steady 60 fps performance most of the time. I start driving a car around the city. I move from one location to the next driving normally. For the first 40 mins or so the game will run without problems at all and very steady fps like I said. After those 40 mins and subject to how much I have used cars to travel from one area of the city to the next, framedrops start to appear more frequently than what the game does when you started from a fresh load.

These framedrops keep getting worse and worse. The game stops performing as it used to when you start the session. Then, always while driving, the game will eventually start droping a lot of frames (as if the game cant keep up loading assets or something) and that is the point where I know that an imminent crash is coming and then a few seconds later it does so indeed.

I can really tell when the game will crash. I have tried hoping out of the car to stop the game from crashing and it really works some times, but the moment I enter another car again, the crash is going to happen. it is inevitable. The game just stops performing as it should. Moments before the crash the framedrops are very very noticeable. After the game crashes I load the exact same area and the fps is again buttery smooth. It feels like the more you play the worse the game performs.

I am by no means an expert, I just post this in case it might be able to help devs understand what is going on and fix it.

The game is great and I am not even seeing a lot of bugs with 1.;05, but the crash issue is serious and really ruins the immersion far too often.

Hoping for a fix soon. And not the kind of "soon" that gets used in trailers lol. :p
