The corrupted file is part 2.
you have to redownload from here and replace it: http://wpc.4d7d.edgecastcdn.net/004D7D/files/wwwpatch/TW2EE_Patch-2.bin

I got the same error. Another and possibly related Issue is the EE seems to have integrated patch 2.1, which gave people heaps of trouble, so much that I avoided it altogether. So guess what...after I installed the EE and try to launch, I get the same 2.1 error prompt and the game won't launch. That's 2.1 in action.

Yup, it updated my Framework - it gave people issues with 2.1. I personally had no issues with it, but seeing it updating again made me facepalm.

Dl'ing Pack 2 now... Ignoring pack0.dzip warning gave me a broken game with funky light effects.

Cool thanks. Will download and post if it works. Looks like part 02 is the one that makes the file valid.

Make sure the downloads part of the directory has all 5 voice over segments too, the error glitched them and I only had 3 and a quarter of the 4th.

So looking forward to the EE.

The 4th one is only 21.5, which is correct. The REAL 1st one is not labeled with a number. So it goes, basically
0, 1, 2, 3, 4

UK retail here and several files including the giant pack0.zip are corrupted... better off just downloading from gog.com it seems. What a waste of time preloading was.

Can we get a numbered list of steps to get around this error? My launcher isn't working now either.

So far I've got that single file posted above, renamed the original, ran the patcher.exe from the predownloaded files folder...it's assembling teh patch now I assume, a full 16gb worth, into a new folder that I assume is not a new installation of the game?

i got the corrupted file error so im downloading pack2 now, if it doesnt work can i just fire up the game and let it patch from the game loader? i really cant be arsed fannying about replacing files all night tbh and would rather just let the game patch from the loader overnight if thats possible.

Lol, why did I post five times in a row?

And yes, it's working fine here the only thing I had to do was placing the stuttering fix on the bin folder again.

I want to see mine completed and working before I say this is the correct step-by-step. But so far, this seems to work:

If you get the error on pack0.dzip, select "Abort". Don't "Ignore"; you'll waste your time and get a broken game.

Get the correct Part 2 file (TWEE_Patch-2.bin) from this page: http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/ Place it in the same folder as all the other parts, overwriting the old incorrect Part 2 file.

If after you abort the patch, your Launcher is broken, uninstall the game. The uninstaller allows you to preserve your saves; do so if you want to keep them.

Reinstall the game, then start the Launcher.

You should get a dialog offering to patch the game to EE. Click through until you get to the dialog where you select the patch location.

Set the patch location to the folder above the Downloads folder; for example, if your downloads are in "E:\TW2EE\Downloads", select "E:\TW2EE". The downloader will append the "Downloads" folder to your selection.

Select the components (the main patch and any language packs) you want to install.

Now the downloader will ask you where the game is installed. It should get the right folder by default.

Then it asks you again which components to install. Select the components you want.

Click through, and the patch will install.

Is it really neccessary to completely uninstall the game after that error? Won't it need to update to 2.1 first? That's a big download.
I found this thread too, they don't say to uninstall. Trying it now..

If the Launcher's broken, I don't think you have much choice. But maybe bypassing the Launcher and patching directly is good enough. I had my saved GOG download handy, so it was not a problem for me to reinstall.

Anyway, the above does work.

Confirmed, I Did not have to uninstall it. Once the EE patch was applied it ran fine after rebooting the PC.

success, from here http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/ i had to download EE update parts 0, 1 and 2 (the corrupted file) and english language pack part 1. i moved them into my download folder and then ran the patch and it installed without a hitch. the new intro is stunning btw. good luck patching fellow witchers, time for bed now.

My installation seems to be working fine now too. :) I had to replace 2 corrupt files though. TW2EE_Patch-2.bin and TW2EE_EN_Voiceover-1.bin. After that the installation worked as it should and I started playing the game, no problems so far. :)

//Edit

I didn't reinstall the game, I just ran the TW2EE_Patch.exe again.
