Thanks to all that have already tried to help but I have(almost)the same problem as bingoa: no problem with pack0.dzip but around 75% of the install, I get an error with The Witcher 2\CookedPC\movies\3_wh_chase_mem.usm

An error occurred while trying to copy a file:

The source file is corrupted.

Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation.

If I retry, it doesn't work, if I ignore, I get dozens of other files with the same error (most of which are in /movies). Some do install correctly, but most of them don't.

Any ideas ?

Edit: I already tried to re-download manually part0, part1, part2, part4 and part5, to reboot and retry install.

Compared to someone's else files that work that's my result seems the Downloader of EE is crap. Only those I downloaded manually are passing the checksum

that means you have a different part or parts which are corrupted, I suggest that you compare the MD5 has between yours and the ones which are posted here.

Thanks, but problem is: I can't install the MD5-thing program ^^'

Well I'm busy downloading more parts manually. I guess it'll end up working (right?)

Done re-downloading, but now I get the pack0 error, which I never had before. I even tried re-downloading parts 0 to 3, with no luck. Rebooting doesn't change anything either.

Has Projekt Red made any attempt to help here? I have tried all of the fixes listed on this site and others with no joy. I have submitted a ticket with tech support and received no answer. What gives? I am trying to re-re-re-download the specified patches but now they will not open and save, as if this website is now broken. This is ENORMOUSLY frustrating.

tried another browser too ? retry maybe the servers were too busy or something, remember: http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/topic/29103-md5-and-sha1-checksums-for-tw2ee/page__p__806049#entry806049

Thanks for the other link, but the problem is a lot of this stuff is above my head. I just play video games, I don't feel comfortable doing a lot of this stuff because I don't want to mess anything up. Frankly, I guess I'll just uninstall the game (it's just massive and takes up so much disk space). Maybe if Projekt RED releases a patch for their patch I'll think about playing it again. I mean, playing it AT ALL.

I don't think it's servers. They are paying what is presumably a lot of money for high-end Edgecast CDN service. I have the use of a DS3 line that can do 6 MByte/sec, and I run a spider that checks the files on the manual download page from time to time. If there were a server performance problem, I would have seen it.

Download failures, stalls, apparent broken links or server errors are almost certainly not caused by the download servers, but by local conditions on your host or network.

That said, it's a brutal download, it was not laid out in a way that makes it simple or reliable for home users, and the configuration slips have caused any number of people a lot of frustration and lost sleep.

The server issues are a secondary issue - yes, they very well could be my slow and unreliable AT&T...in fact I'd about guarantee it - the primary issue is that I'm sitting here with a $45 paper weight that I can't play.

--And to your point about the download being brutal - no kidding. That's why it pains me to unload this beast and then (if they fix it) re-load it later. It literally, no joke, takes DAYS.

I tried the solution as outlined by Prometheus34572 and Licaon_Kter (linked in the post) here: http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/topic/29080-how-to-fix-ee-install-error-look-here/

It worked for me. At first, I manually downloaded Patch 2 to replace the old file and was able to continue installing, until I got the same error again. Did what Licaon_Kter said to find the corrupted file and turns out that I needed to manually download Patch 15 also.

Successfully installed the patch and the game launches fine. The new opening cinematic is awesome.

I solve my pack0.dzip problem !!!

Replace Patch 2 can be solve the problem but you must check which part is broke with any md5 program. Example, patch 5, 6, 8, 19 were broken too. Replace broken patch and it will work.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/File-Management/MD5-Checker.shtml I downloaded 'MD5 Checker 2.31' on this link. This program is basic than others but easy to use.
