Who cares really the price won't go down till the TW3 release and AMD probably wont release their new GPUs till then. And they are buying the 980 the best GPU on the market now who cares about the games specs if the 980 can't run the game decently then nothing will. If i'm wrong please enlighten me.You should wait instead.. everyone here is upgrading (or act like that) WITHOUT in fact knowing what for at all :troll:![]()
CDPR is PC first? Refreshing to see devs put PC first?. CDPR did not mention this at all. They mentioned all platform will be treated equally. If they stand by what they said, PC platform has to worry. Which means it's exact same as the lower specs as consoles. Even the UI are the exact same. No they are not PC first anymore. In fact, sales on consoles version may have surpassed PC version. It's up to CDPR to reveal the sales figure after TW3 released.Yeah you do have a point there. However I'd like to think since CPR is PC first, that the optimization would be closer to console quality. Though it may not be possible because of so many variables with each individual rig. So many PC games are lazy ports. It's refreshing to see devs put PC first.
@tahirahmed
That's good to hear. Hopefully it will continue to work for all games that have advanced physX.
Not only that but I have two TW2 saves, one iorveth one roche, from a neutral TW1 import.Nice. I'm waiting for the 980s to come back in stock.
That's exactly what I did. I'm still limping along with a Fermi 470 and I'll be upgrading to a 980 (possibly 2 for 4K) for TW3.By the time TW3 comes out Maxwell will most likely be out as well. Why don't you wait a bit and decide when it's time?
I am also eyeballing the GTX 770 (I like the number 7!) but perhaps an 870 will be a better choice. Judging by this semilogarithmic performance plot, Nvidia seems to be drastically improving their performance/watt ratio.

I know that, but 2 980s is a monsterous amount of video power.4K is quite literally 4x the pixels of 1920x1080, so while it may run decently. I wouldn't expect 2160p60. 30 on the other hand, is a possibility. In the end it falls down to how taxing the game will turn out to be.
Why are you getting R7 260X if your budget is 250$ ? For that price you can can easily get a custom cooler R9 285 which is a tad bit slower than R9 280X but a whole lot faster than R7 260X. Additionally it's based on new GCN Tonga Pro architecture thus consume less power and produce less heat. Herei want to upgrade my graphic card in order to be able to play the witcher 3
this are my specs
AMD FX 6100 six-core processor 3.30GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6670 graphic card
8gb ram
Win 7-64 Bit
1366x720
i was thinking about getting a AMD Radeon R7 260x since it seems afordable, but will i be able to run the game with that card? also there is any other option? my budget is no more than $250
If that is what they are going to do after 30th anniversary then it will be quite disappointing, any sources ?Word has it that the announcement on the 25th is just R9 285 launch in other regions and not a new GPU.
shitty port incomingCough***Watch***Cough**Dogs**Cough.
That combined with Shadow of Mordor needing 6gbs of VRAM for ultra textures makes me seriously question the current 970/980's. Maybe Nvidia has been far too stingy when it comes to VRAM.
I've seen ultra quality gameplay of Shadow of Mordor, and the textures definitely don't look like they need 6GB of VRAM. Ultra quality textures. Of course YouTube is just about the worst way to judge texture quality:That combined with Shadow of Mordor needing 6gbs of VRAM for ultra textures makes me seriously question the current 970/980's.
