when people are really excited about something and start asking dumb questionsIts not day 1 yet so why would it be?
Interested in knowing this, as well. I noticed that when the installation starts, the GOG app simply asks for language. And Japanese (日本語) or rather any other language is just in the same dropdown as English. One would think there'd be ways to mix and match (like English audio + Japanese subtitle, Polish audio + English subtitle and such)~~Regarding multi-language, does anybody know if you have to download additional data or are all the languages included in the preload? Will there be a language selector in game or is it tied to your machine/console default language?
I believe the language selection you are referring to while installing (if it's the same as Steam) is only used to select the EULA language and not the ingame language.Interested in knowing this, as well. Probably. Is the day 1 patch already included in the preload?
Hard to say. Games published by Acti-Blizzard (StarCraft 2, Diablo 3, any BNet stuffs, etc) have those pre-installed so you can select them via ingame dropdown. I own Skyrim and Fallout 4 on Steam, and those two just let you pick 1 language on install. Then the games will just have that one you selected. I've no problem with the latter. In fact, I prefer it. Less storage occupancy.I believe the language selection you are referring to while installing (if it's the same as Steam) is only used to select the EULA language and not the ingame language.
Not true, on Bnet you can go to your Game Settings from the launcher and select Text and/or Voice language which will download additional content (my friends play Overwatch with japanese audio only), and on Steam you can sometimes right click on your game -> properties, and select your language from the language tab (which again, will download additional content) but not all games do that, hence my previous question.Hard to say. Hmm. It is possible that I have the text/voice handling confused. There was a time where I had to switch between my mother tongue and English for texts while staying with English audio to fully understand the story, so I just assumed it was pre-installed for BNet games unknowingly. When I moved on to Bethesda games, I no longer needed text translations so my assumption there could be flawed as well. In short, you could be right. Not true, on Bnet you can go to your Game Settings from the launcher and select Text and/or Voice language which will download additional content (my friends play Overwatch with japanese audio only), and on Steam you can sometimes right click on your game -> properties, and select your language from the language tab (which again, will download additional content) but not all games do that, hence my previous question.
