Press demo for PC Gamer

You can find the link here
I guess that is the first press demo - great news! I like how the openness of the world does not hinder the story. They seem to be still using the old engine, so all those screens will look even better.

I really wanna see a screenshot of the witcher senses and see if it's as bad as Batman vision.

I like the part about monsters behaving according to time of day.

It's the same demo the other websites reviewed/previewed. Still, it's good to hear at least something

I want this game NOW. Patience may be a virtue, but it can kill me. :)

Once you’ve discovered a location, you’re free to fast-travel there at any time, but the first time round you’ll have to discover it for yourself.

We've known that for quite a while now.
Tuco even started a thread on it.

There's a semi-new screen there, that ship carcass.

We've all seen the pictures they have in the article, but to me these shots seem quite a bit better then the last ones.

Still could use some work, especially texture quality on the table of the last shot for instance and Anti-aliasing as well.

I think that fast travel in an open world game like that is a necesarry thing. They just
need to make it in a bit more belieavable way, suitable for the world and not interfering with the story.
Something like geralt using teleports.

Yeah, sure, but somehow that ship carcass has been the least published of them all.
With regard to the screens, I've had my say on them.

New renderer, anyone?

They really have captured an epic sense of scale in the environments. That galleon is awesome. And the taverns seems bustling with life, lots of NPC's. I so want to quaff a tankard of ale, slap a bar wench on the ass, gnaw on a leg of mutton, then set out with Roche into the wild cold yonder....

lord grant me patience.

I think having portals with limited range that you had to manually activate would be a decent compromise.

God I hope not. Furthermore, some of those pictures are just the old ones with some enhancing.

No no no.

I wasn't saying those are from the new renderer. They clearly are not.

I was calling out to those who're craving some new renderer goodness.
