Why post in this thread if you have nothing helpful to say?Mrowakus said:Jesus, just download the files manually. What's hard about that?
'Download manually' is pretty helpful for those who don't know about the option (yes, I didn't notice the post by bcheero. Selective blindness. Sue me).Chromie92 said:Why post in this thread if you have nothing helpful to say?
My guess is - the Steam team hasn't uploaded the necessary files yet. Maybe try contacting them?Okiff said:Nothing hard on this but if I buy the Steam version it is precisely for automatic updates, so yes it really matter.
The Witcher 2 page on steam Said : Languages: English*, German*, French*, Italian, Spanish, Russian*
*languages with full audio support
So the french voice must be available automatically (and other langage too)
In addition there was no indication on steam, that voice was no longer available.
I had to look by myself to find the voice patch and I am not alone in this situation, many players complain and do not understand why they have no longer voice in the game
Already done but no answer yet!Mrowakus said:My guess is - the Steam team hasn't uploaded the necessary files yet. Maybe try contacting them?

Don't bump; it won't get you an answer any faster.Okiff said:It's so hard to give an answer?
Yes you're totally right but the fact is : to each new patch the Steam version has a new problem, so this time I'm fed ud.GuyN said:Don't bump; it won't get you an answer any faster.
I've done sustaining engineering for years. People knocking on your door every hour or two demanding an answer are just distractions, and the most effective response is not to answer them, but to hang out a "Do Not Disturb" sign.
Also, when you have more problems than you can solve immediately, the first thing you do is triage them. Problems that have a usable workaround (i.e. go get the language pack from the Web site) are not going to get solved first.
I'd rather have the development team entirely focused on fixing genuine problems than posting apologies that don't solve any problems.
The answer is this:Okiff said:Yes you're totally right but the fact is : to each new patch the Steam version has a new problem, so this time I'm fed ud.
