Problem with Witcher 2 Redkit - can't export meshes

+
Hello!
Just stumbled across this problem. I want to remodel the sword for my little project, but Redkit doesn't seem to let me export not just this particular sword, but actually anything, be it props or character meshes. Whenever I try to click on 'Export asset' option in menu Redkit do exactly nothing. No dialog pop-up, no errors, yeah, nothing. Can you actually export anything from W2 Redkit? I know that Import function is working as it intended, but export is a no go for some strange reason.
Have anyone encoutered this before?
P.S. I have a Steam version of W2.

Strangely enough I can easily export every texture, edit and import it back with no problem. But so far no luck with meshes. I found a workaround though with using 'The witcher converter 2.13' by jlouisb. it allowed me to extract the sword, but still, the question remains - what's wrong with Redkit not exporting any meshes?
Btw I'm using the version from may 7, 2013.

The simplest answer is - it's just broken and you need to get used to things like that.
RedKit for W2 have many problems where things are always crashing the editor or the option for something is available but it does absolutely nothing.. "Generate Lipsync" in scene editor for example.
It's quite buggy and some options are just not working so you just need to get used to what to avoid :D
But I also used converter by JLouisB in my mod and it works fine.

Yep, that's the ultimate answer to any problem you may encounter in W2 Redkit :)
I figured it out myself during the initial attempt to create really basic fetch quest.
Kinda sad it never got any serious love from its creators. Still, I appreciate it was released at all. I mean, even if it's somewhat broken, it still gives me a joy of creating something for one of my favourite games. Definitely a good thing in my book.
