Problems with the new age gate?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but every time I launch my browser and connect to the Witcher site I'm getting a fresh age gate prompt, even after having entered the information only moments earlier.

This is with Firefox 10, which just got installed this morning, so maybe it's just a bug in the way the new version handles cookies, but I don't see any obvious differences under this version's options.

Anyone else having the same problem?

I use Firefox but didn't update it today. The version I use is behaving just as usual.

I'm using Chrome and it doesn't do it to me. But I switched over to Firefox and tried it too and it only asks me for it once. After that it just takes me to the site. So it might just be you ;)

I get it too. I'm currently on Firefox 9, although it looks like Firefox is downloading an update right now.

I stopped using Firefox I'm confused with 41 different versions you need to keep updating if not you get messege saying "Your security is at risk" Started using Opera for few months now.. needs to be configured slightly but no adverts nor pop ups whats so ever.

I switched to Opera to see if it would solve the issue, but I'm still getting the age gate. It's hardly crippling, but it is annoying.

Now that I'm thinking of it, I had a similar issue with the Kingdoms of Amalour: Reckoning site. It never seemed to retain the information I entered at the age gate either. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the cookie not getting set, or the browser not retaining it for some reason.

I'm using Opera and I also have to confirm my age every time I enter the site. It's really annoying, so maybe I'll change my bookmark to get me straight to the forum.

I'm on Internet 9 and get the age gate every time. How come? I've been coming to this website for over a year and I'm far, far from my teen years.

Will this be corrected? Or is it something I have to do on my end?

It amuses me, i'm stating that i'm over two thousand years old and the age gate doesn't bat an eyelash.

I just came into the thread to find out what a New Age gate looked like. I was expecting something with feng shui, or dreamcatchers hanging from it, or a lot of mystic runes carved into the wood.

What a disappointment. :(

(And never had a problem with it, I'd forgotten it existed. Chrome, previously Firefox. I don't know how it works, but shouldn't it be something to do with cookie settings?)

I forgot to clarify before, but it's the same for me. I have the forum itself bookmarked and no age gate. I do face the age gate every time I check the official site for news though.

I only noticed this age gate after they uploaded the new intro video with Letho killing everything. Maybe they had to put the age gate up due to the video's violence :p

I don't think this is something about CDProyekt care some much (unaccurate age submitions). The just do what law ask them to do, no less, no more.

Thanks for the suggestion to bookmark the forum. It seems to completely bypass the age gate.

I was using the main page before, as I usually want to check the news section first.

I don't know what the legal requirements are elsewhere in the world, but generally I've found after entering an age gated site, say Betheda's blog site, for example, a cookie is set that tells the site that the age gate is unneeded, so you pass right through to the content.

I was wondering if the age gate at all times on the Witcher site is to comply with a new regulation, or just a bug.

Hm, I doubt it. Coz I've visited the main site today and I've also had to go through the gate /
