Prologue HELL ( Why I Hate this 'game)

OK. So clearly Witcher 2 is the prettiest game EVER. All very nice. Thanks for the help. I'm no troll. Just like going OTT when I write things.

How the hell is a game a console port when it's not even on consoles yet dumb ass.

Moderator: Yes, the original poster is mistaken. But that's still no excuse for calling him a dumb ass. Please be more respectful of other forum members.

Turn off the QTE's in the main menu. They suck anyway. And use Quen to protect yourself from the fire.

The game starts out hard, and if you make the right decisions in leveling up, it get easier. So suck it up and try again. I'm on my 30th try for a boss in Hard Reset, but I refuse to revert to easy cause my balls are as big as church bells.

An obvious troll post filled with anger and frustration by a dumb player that considers himself too "mature" and too "good" for this "garbage for 5 year olds". And obviously like everyone of his kind he complaines, and violently asks for a CHANGE ASAP otherwise he threatens the producers that they just "lost a costumer"(out of 1 milion, guess how much will effect their budget). You are pathetic "mate", go home, take a break, get a bear, cause clearly gaming isn't for you.

P.S: Btw on that particular scene that you died 200 times, you just have to be careful on the screen, and when you see what button you should press, you have to press it JUST ONCE, not spam it. Dammit, learn to play. But I guess it's easier to come here to complain and expressing your anger and frustration towards the game, insulting and threatening the devs and demanding changes instead of learning the game.

Please do not flame other gamers. Yes, it's hard to take when someone whines about a game you love. But telling people that gaming isn't for them is NOT helpful.

orctowngrot, you can turn off "Difficult QTE's," as Mariusmssj has helpfully shown you, above. Try turning those off and see if it doesn't work better for you.

OK. So clearly Witcher 2 is the prettiest game EVER. All very nice. I imagine. Too bad I can't play the game, since a dragon is on the bridge near the solar and it has killed my Witcher and his king about 200 times. Imagine how MUCH FUN that ISN'T. I understand this is supposed to be a 'QTE', and that my right mouse button has something to do with it. 'S' works sometimes, for a few seconds, but then it also just stops for no reason, at random intervals, however you press or hammer it. 'A' and 'D' sometimes buys me a few seconds. Right clicking the mouse does nothing. And NOWHERE on the screen is there any prompt to push anything. The whole game is incredibly MEDIOCRE other than its visuals. It's a garbage console port obviously. But I understand that this dragon issue is not because the game is RETARDED, its because I am. Well fackers I AM. Have arthritis in my left hand actually, so its not easy to hammer the S (not that that works anyway)No plan to discuss design philosphy or user access issues in here. Would simply like to cross the facking bridge and see what's on the other side (LIKE THE WHOLE 'GAME'). I'm sure this exact ONE SCENE has ruined this game for thousands of people. It also scored you some honest review scores by pros (6/10) well right now this game is 0/10 for me, since it has become unplayable.Everything before it is ok, and I'm sure, playing on easy as I have to everything after will be ok (except a few bosses probably, but I'll get em all eventually), Could you PATCH THIS FACKING DRAGON SCENE OUT OF THE GAME CD PROJEKT! Or make it clear exactly what buttons to push WHEN, and precisely HOW. The experience I have of Witcher right now is incredible anger and frustration. I thought this 'game' was supposed to be about the story, not this garbage QTE bullshit for 5 year olds. If you don't patch it you might give some very precise instructions of the correct button mashing sequence, and also indications of the required tempo. If you plan to put this rubbish in future games you just lost a customer. Let me QTE you all a big middle finger to reassure you how much I love this idea of 'mature gaming fun'.It's not mature, it's not gaming, and it's not fun. its bullshit.

If it is this scene:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1j5CmUT1uho

You don't need to smash any buttons. You keep press the 's' all the way down.
The game will ask a couple of times to press LMB (or RMB i'm not sure), and if you do it on time you will get to the other side of the bridge.

This is how always worked for me from version 1.0 until now.
If it doesn't work for you the same way, it is a bug in the game or a problem with your installation.

There are an option for disable "dificult QTE".
I don't know if affects to this specific QTE, but you should try it.
This option is available in the options screen inside the game (not at the launcher).

I hope this help. Good luck.

So, basically he can throw "fuckers" every 2 sentences and doesn't get a warn?

Thanks,

I turned the QTE off. The dragon bites me in two every time. I try to run pushing s and never make it more than 10 meters. Do I need to hammer the s faster?

You need to keep S pressed all the time, do not hammer it

It didn't seem as if he was going to be sticking around, so explaining the rules to him seemed like a waste of time. The two I did talk to are forum regulars, and they will be sticking around, so talking to them is actually useful.

Besides, he was talking about "the developers," which is different from directly addressing a single person and calling that person names, which is what the people I admonished were doing.

Thanks for the video.

Mine is different.

The dragon starts CLOSER. The dragon does not go down one side, knocking bricks over. The dragon comes down the middle and catches the witcher and the king on the first lunge, second if I'm lucky. I'll give it a few more spins.

again thanks.

You are playing on easy...right? Spend more time with the game and less time bitching about it.

OP, turn the QTE's off, that is what i did as i had the same problem with the scene, sometimes it worked and sometimes not.

Turn them off and enjoy the game.

Edit: Try turning the graphics down and see if this helps out.

OK! THANKS! DID IT. Hold down s, HARD. Don't stop. When the dragon nearly has you, right click mouse. There is no notification, just do it. Can't see what it does, but likely a little spurt of speed. MODS throw this whole thread in the rubbish bin. I'm gonna write a new one, WHY I LOVE THIS GAME.

Bye.

This is not the only title that has one scene or gimmick that ends ruining the whole game for players... Many have abandoned Assassins Creed 2 after the first 15 minutes, cause they cant jump through the roofs fast enough...

Clearly this is specially challenging for you. Nothing to be ashamed. Id advise you to ask for a save game just after that scene and move on. You dont miss anything.
