[PROLOGUE] I've a problem to meditate in cave at tutorial

Hoila Chummers,Vesemir told me to meditate. Map called a point, but i cannot find a way to meditate there. Nothing to point out. What's wrong?I'm staying at boiler but none new icon appeared. I'm staying at wall and desk, nothing. How I can rest?It is terrible, the manual don't told about that.Thanks for help up front.CiaoFirebolt

You're supposed to click on the fireplace, which will automatically initiate meditation. If the fireplace isn't lit, however, you may need to find some flint. Search the castle, there should be plenty of flint around.

Thx for answer. I've a lit, but no place is around to lit. I've played demo first and in first town were many places to meditate but in this tut cave, nothing. I highlight with key-ALT but nothing. I'm staying in front of the desk and the map point show me I'm right, but nothing is there. I've screenies of my pos to locate the problem. Thx for help.I played 2 times, i thought that is a bug but nothing.CiaoFirebolt

Well from the screens you're right, there's no fire there to meditate by...(1) Have you talked to Vesemir? Does he give you a rest/meditate dialogue option? (Should be a blue icon with geralt's face on it) If so, click on that to meditate.(2) Alternatively, go back upstairs to the main 'living area' of Kaer Morhen. There's a fire up there with a big cauldron hanging over it, and I think Triss will be lying in front of it. Click on the fire up there and you may be able to meditate.

NPCs who offer a place to meditate (sleep icon) aren't marked in the map. Just use the icon and Geralt receives automaticly a place to meditate. You don't need sth to lit the fire in these case. Just for external meditating you need sth to lit (flint stone). Those place you find on the map.Take care with fireplaces in dangerous areas like swamps. After resting, Geralt wakes up and gets a "hot welcome" from beasts.... sometimes

That's only true in 'dangerous' areas or times. During the day, and in 'safe' areas, Igni cannot be used to light fires.~ Roxy

Mnany times when you are speaking with another character, an icon at the bottom left of the dialogue box shows Geralt sleeping. Click on this icon and geralt will automatically meditate.To light a fire you need one of 2 things: (1) Flint (until half-way through the Vizima Outskirts); or (2) the igni power (looks like a triangle). Click on the power at the left side of the screen, and right click on the fire. If you have a flint and right click on the fireplace (unlit) it should light. The click the fire again and Geralt will meditate.Select any talents to distribute, and you will have a 1 hour rest period. Select any potion formulas and click mix, and the meditation is extended another hour (2 hours). Click on the hour glass in the middle of the meditation screen, and geral will acquire the talents and make the potions.
