Prologue Story Questions

I have a couple of questions about the prologue.

1- Why does king Foltest attacks La Valette's castle ?
2- What is the La Valette's rebellion that the king is talking about ?
3- What does Foltest means when he says that Louisa and Count Echteverry made demands he could not fulfill ?

1. Because the La Valettes rebelled against the kingdom. Also he had an affair with Luisa La Valette which resulted in two illegitimate children, who he fears will be harmed or held hostage.

Two reasons:
1. LaValette is part of Foltest's kingdom of Temeria, but she's trying to break away and form her own mini-kingdom.
2. LaValette's children were sired by Foltest, so they're the heirs to HIS throne. Leaving them in their mother's care was all very well when their mother was a loyal subject, but once she tried to set up her own nation, he had to get them back.

Why in the game, they're just saying that Foltest wants his kids

Geralt lifted her curse twice but she isn't eligible for the throne. Instead she was married to Radovid V of Redania.

Adda is dead if you didn't import saves. So she is dead for him. ;)

And if you import a savegame in which you saved Adda she's now married to Radovid, king of Redania, whom the Temerian nobles will never accept as a king.

In the game, the only thing they say is Foltest wants his children. They don't say the reason, they don't say why the La Valette rebelled, they don't say anything !

King Foltest has illegitimate children with the baroness. The baroness wants Foltest to aknowledge the children and legitimized them as heirs. Some nobles also try to exploit the situation and goad the baroness into starting a rebellion over this, hoping to gain privileges.

But why Foltest is getting all mad with this ? And there is the thing about the nobles trying to protect the children, protecting them of what ?

"Foltest most certainly still harbored feelings for his former lover and decided to save the children that were the fruit of this affair. He feared they would otherwise become trump cards in the game of politics, tools of intrigue."

So he didn't want them to become heir to the throne ?

It would weaken the Temerian throne, since the nobles were demanding concessions from King Foltest. Aver's right in that Foltest's children would become the banner for the nobility.
