Property Ownership

I'm no completionist, but I am a hoarder. However, that is not why I don't want outright restrictions on who can own or use particular items. It is the 'it doesn't make sense' principal, 100%. That and I am hoping that the gameplay wont restrict players to only being able to carry out specific tasks that their chosen role specialises in. In 2020 anyone could at least try to accomplish any action. Sure their ability to succesfully carry out that action may or may not have been negligable, but that is besides the point. They could still try.

100% this...

I am a hoarder with an ocd liek you wouldn't believe, if I can't aquire something in the game it almost ruins the entire experience for me...

On top of that, I hate Role restrictions.... Sure a Rocker should be better at swaying a crowd but what if my Solo wants to play the guitar too? My nomad may not be a techie, but I damn sure want him to be able to fix his own ride, and if special tools give him a bonus then hell yeah.

I'm with Chris on this. Sure I try complete pretty much all missions I can get my hands on, but in no way am I interested on chasing archievements.
Point is it should be you stats/skills/abilities that restrict you from getting everything you want. But there should be way to get pretty much anything if you have the right "build" for it.

Solo wanting to play guitar?
Erm... wasn't "Jhonny Silverhand" a veteran of Central America war?
So yeah, why wouldn't a solo wanna play a guitar? ;)

totally right, they can always try it

How about collecting stuff around Night City and placing them in your safehouse? Like trophies from people you kill.. :fury:

hmmm....

Wouldn't be bad, though I would rather have stuff I could actually use if it comes down to cyber and weapons...

And I would rather not collect body parts and put them on display...

Well, if you already have a better weapon and that weapon you just collected looks really cool, (like a gold pistol or whatever) why not keep it as a trophy in your safehouse? (You know, like in Skyrim, where you can mount things on your wall or bookshelf)

You wouldn't collect body parts per se, nothing that rots away, it would be more like cybernetic parts like chrome hands or if you killed a dirty cop, it would be his badge, if you took down a acpa, it would be a acpa helmet.. It would be optional and it would be up to you to make it look cool.. Put them in the right order.. Did i hit your OCD yet?

Why not, take them to the taxidermist and put them on display.
