[PS4] CDPR; This my only wish please.

The frame-rate below from 30 and that insane stutters kills realy realy the mood of atmosfere. The frame rate drops very bad to 20fps in camps, fogy places, open fields and in cities. Also the movement control stutters when geralt walks or runs even on gallop. Frame rate also drops in combat while there is 3-4 enemy around. Cut scenes also have some stutters with fps drops, weird lagg happens when the secenes goes to change and on loading icon shows on in-cutscenes. I encounter very bad frezze on first grifon scene, where Geralt and visimir arrives to merchant, it happens right after when the text " few time later". So the game doesnt work and I hope this great game will be fixed.

Yup, in the same boat. Starting to think that Day 1 patch fucked the frames up, otherwise reviews would have clearly stated frame issues, and yet none have before that Day 1 patch. Must get resolved ASAP.

I did extensive tests around the camera micro stutter and it was already present in v. 1.00 without the day one patch. And from the PC side (who have it,too) we know it's not frame rate drops but something else.

And most early reviews did mention frame rate drops in busy scenes, which, according to the eurogamer analysis, the day-1 patch somewhat ameliorated but not fixed.

For me, the stutter is killing my eyes and my head. I really want to play. But I don't think I can. Not like this.

The frames are what's pissing me off the most. No idea how people find 25fps and lower playable, bad enough 8th gen can;t do 60FPS with is obviously smoother than 30FPS - It's just too unplayable, but I'm trying to enjoy the game, but very much hoping they fix it so it's LOCKED 30FPS.

I was LOVING the game in the white orchard, it played pretty smoothly there and I was so excited to continue but when i got to velen the stuttering and framerate is so consistently bad that I can't enjoy what I'm playing anymore. exploring isn't fun with the poor framerate, and when it rains or storms it drops way below 30...its such a disappointment to me..i even bought the season pass and am now regretting this. Please do whatever it takes to get a solid 30, drop the resolution or something, i odnt care, just give me the option to somehow have 30 even if i have to turn off some effects or something. its KILLING my enjoyment

I don't think dropping the resolution to 900p would fix the framerate loss, nor stuttering. In fact that shouldn't even be a SOLUTION. What year is this? 2015? 1080p isn't a goal to strive for, It's a bloody given.

Besides.. even in closed areas, not out in the world the frames drop in the most ridiculous of places that make no sense whatsoever. For example: the fight with the Guardian and Gargoyle.

Decreasing resolution should never be a solution, It's much more deeper then simply dropping it to 900p. Again, 2015, were not 7th GENERATION of consoles anymore.

i don't know but i would happily sacrifice resolution for framerate if it helped. Whether or not they can fix it without doing something like that is another story. all i know is thats the first thing i would sacrifice. i honestly don't think 1080p makes much of a difference, if the game runs smoothly thats all i care about

You are somewhat the problem with this console generation. No offense, but this is 2015, and whether or not the 8th gen consoles aren't anywhere near as impressive as 7th gen there is no need for games NOT being 1080p.

There is a difference from 900p to 1080p and one of them is NOT TRUE HD.

However, with that aside it would be better for them to decrease the resolution to something custom, as KILLZONE. Still above 900p, but not quite 1080p.

Though I contradict myself in saying I'd rather see a decrease in resolution as oppose to overall graphical and visual quality. The game as it stands, at least on PS4 does look impressive, given the fact that they aren't impressive consoles.

---------- Updated at 01:56 AM ----------

Quite literally, they aren't impressive. The only impressive thing about the PS4 is the RAM and that's about it. Nothing else about PS4 or XBONE are leaps from PS3/X360 when most PS3 exclusives were indeed running at 1080p 30FPS - 8th gen is all about 1080p gaming @60FPS and so far we can't even get 30FPS stable.

Very, very, very sad. Indeed you can't compare a $400 console to, say.. my $1200 PC. However, we all know they cheaped out on hardware, and for Witcher 3 to look as it does on these consoles is an achievement right there. This generation will be kucky to see the end of 2017 if we keep getting games NOT running stable frames at proper 1080p resolution.

Guys, I totally agree with you. Game is awesome it's the best RPG ever made. But the framerate is real shit, it's not little FPS drops happening here and there... IT'S A CONSTANT LOW 20S PIECE OF SHIT. And that makes me mad. I don't care about graphics and resolution, I want to play a game running on locked 30. When ubi$oft released unity I've laughed a lot and thought, that I know the developer who would never release a game with such performance, because he understands how it kills all the mood and experience. Sadly, I've mistaken.

Something I'll try to explain to you, Vito, my friend.

8th Gen consoles? Not impressive. M$ and SONY chose the cheaper route, and cause of this this Gen is the way it is. 7th Gen was far, far more impressive. Why? PS2 - PS3 was a giant leap, as was Xbox - X360. While we had games like God of War II show off the PS2 in glory, PS3 was showing off Uncharted and Heavenly Sword, and Heavenly Sword being one of THE best looking games on the consoles during that time.

The leap from 6th to 7th was massive, so big that until Crysis graced us all with It's magnificence in 2007 - 7th Gen consoles were actually ahead of PC. Yeah, ahead, crazy?! Indeed. It was glorious, and games actually worked! Yeah! Imagine that! Frame issues? Not happening, not even with games like inFAMOUS or Ratchet and Clank, or Gears of War.

When MGSIV came out we really got to see just what the PS3 could achieve. The game has some.. performance hiccups, but it ran great and looked phenomenal. Then God of War III came out and granted us true visual eye-candy, and ran consistently smooth 100% of the time, and at 1080p no less! YUP! Some exclusives did indeed run @1080p.

7th Gen was dragged out for too long, however, and by 2012 we started to suffer for it, and PC especially. 7th Gen should have concluded by the end of 2011 or at least no later than 2012. Of course we had games like Uncharted 3 show us PS3 could still kick some ass, but it aged, It's old, It's done, that was the sendoff.

Last of Us was more or less the true sendoff (Not GTA V) and we saw just how much these two games were stressed.

Now we got 8th Gen which should have been here by the end of 2011 - 2012 but with better hardware, as what It's inside them isn't in any way impressive, and not worthy of being dubbed 8th Generation consoles. Yes, we do have games 1080p @60FPS such as Metro: Redux, and inFAMOUS: Second Son runs surprisingly well for looking as good as it does, and those rumours of MGSV: Phantom Pain striving for 1080p @60FPS is true, and if anyone can do that? It's Kojima Production.

But even with such talent aside you cannot expect much from PS4/Xbone - They just ain't that good, mate.. just ain't that good.

8th Gen was supposed to be the console leap to 1080p @60FPS not 792p - 900p and can barely even achieve 30FPS or weird resolutions such as 960x1080 that cannot remain locked @60FPS. How is this "NEXT-GEN" It's not, were not even there yet. PC is the TRUE NEXT-GEN platform, always will be. Regardless of anyone's reasons for wanting lower resolution and decreased graphics - I say to you NO! This is not what 8th Gen should be doing, regardless of how unimpressive they are.

If Witcher 3 needs to settle with a custom resolution such as 960x1080? Then so be it, but there is no sense whatsoever to go as low as below, 900p or lower, It's just disgusting.

TL;DR Dun care, took me less than 10 minutes to type this, will take you less than 5.

look man i don't care about "true hd" lol. performance is number 1. id gladly take 720P if it meant 60 fps for this game. 1080p is vastly overrated in a lot of peoples priority lists. You can say all you want about how there is no need for this game to not be 1080p, fine, but i want to play this game at 30 fps now, i don't want to wait 2 months for them to optimize it or sacrifice other graphical effects. would much rather have them give me a quick option now to drop resolution to fix the framerate while they fix the 1080p version
